The holiday buzz is trickling down and the new year's festivities are coming to a halt. Everyone knows classes started weeks ago, but a handful of students, the wealthiest of the bunch, take extended vacations and routinely head home a week or two late.
By now, the last of the family jets have retired for the season as these lucky few returned from their penthouses in Miami, châteaus in Paris, and water-front villas in Belize. Bye-bye sunsets in the Amalfi coast, Roman gelato, and cute Italian boys - hello pre-calc homework!
