There is a heavy rain hitting my face as I looked up. Thunder in the distance, lightning passing my closed eyes every few seconds. The wind is screaming in my ears promising me it will blow me over any moment. My skin is crawling with goosebumps from the icy rain as it dances along my body.
I draw a lung full of the heavens cries and caterwaul into the scant alcove in front of me. Rustling from inside the alcove could be heard from a few feet away. I quickly climb above the opening readying my weapon. Walking footsteps reached the opening, a figure stepping out of the alcove. I swung my weapon down, hitting, nothing. The figure disappeared.
As did the rain, wind, all of the little noises I didn't notice before, and everything surrounding me. Though I was still standing on something solid. All I can see is white, for miles, it was endless. My legs felt like lead but I started to sprint. Then I felt like I was falling. My feet hit liquid, I am sinking, in what seems like water. Yet all I still see is white, no dark shadows, inky spots, nothing but white. It sounded like I am under water, but still able to breath, still sinking. The feeling of betrayal struck my heart, but it was gone as soon as it came.
