-Lex's POV-

I sat frozen for a minute, staring at my hands...My hands...The corners of my mouth began to twitch, forming a small smile. "Thanks Slender!" I yelped, giving him a big hug. He laughed, "You're welcome, child." He stood up, opening the door for me. I smiled at him, then walked down the stairs. BEN and Toby were playing Halo, while Hoodie was laughing and running from Masky while holding a small plate of cheesecake. I laughed, "You two aren't helping your case about that stereotype." Hoodie stopped and looked at me. He was about to say something when Masky crashed into him, causing them both to fall down a second flight of stairs. I laughed, walkingmover to Toby. I covered his eyes from behind and laughed, "Guess who?" He smiled, grabbing my wrists and flipping me over his head and into his lap. I laughed and pecked him on the cheek, watching him turn a bright shade of red. He smiled back, then noticed my hands. "So, Slender was able to help?" I nodded, a grin almost as large as Jeff's snaking across my face. Toby smiled and got up, helping me to my feet as well and holding my hand as we walked out the door. We walked out to the lake we love so much and sat near the shore in the moonlight. Toby held my hands up to inspect them, they had the same scales as the rest of me and long black claws. He looked me in the eye for a moment, then stood up and looked toward the lake with his hands in his pockets. I stood and walked over to him, unfurling my wings and holding them up to shield us from the rain. "Toby, is something wrong?" I asked, putting my hand on his shoulder. He looked at me, taking off his goggles. For the first time, I got to see his big brown eyes looking right into mine. I blushed slightly, and he smiled. He pulled down his facemask to reveal two rows of perfect, glistening white teeth. I turned a bit redder, looking to the ground. He put his hand on my chin and gently lifted my head, leaning in a bit closer. I leaned forward, gently putting my lips to his. He pulled me closer and I put my arms around his neck, putting my wings away and letting the rain drench us. The moon peeked through the cloud layer ubove us, sending down a small ray of light  to illuminate us through the rain. Toby eventually pulled me to a tree that still held it's leaves and I fell asleep in his arms.

-a few hours later-

I woke up and stretched, noticing that Toby wasn't there. I found a small note by my side that read;

Lex,

I had to go out for an early morning kill. You can head back to the mansion, I'll be there soon.

Toby

I smiled and spread my wings, flying over to the mansion. I landed in front of the door, brushing the snow from my shoulders. I opened the door and stepped in to be greeted by Smile Dog. "Hey bud!" I laughed, patting him on the head and tossing him a small piece of flesh. He barked happily, grabbing the flesh and running off somewhere into the woods. I felt something collide with my back and I turned to see Sally, rubbing her head. I helped her up, dusting her off. "You okay?" She smiled and nodded, her eyes sparkling. "Will you play with me? None of the boys will." she pouted, stamping her foot. I smiled, grabbing her hand. "What do you want to play?" I smiled, kneeling down to her level. She shrieked gleefully, pulling me away from the door and up a flight of stairs. I noted her room had all the aspects of any little girl's, except that she had dozens of mauled stuffed animals and bloodstains on her carpet. I smiled at how happy she looked as she got out a small tea set, holding it up. I laughed, then sat on her floor next to the small table she was setting up. She looked at me for a moment, then smiled, "You can't come to a tea party looking like that!" She said, skipping to her closet. She pulled out a short black dress that stopped above my knee, along with black fishnet gloves and tights. I laughed and put on the outfit, I knew how she must have felt in a house full of boys. She smiled and passed me a silver chain necklace and a bracelet to match. She did my hair in a long ponytail, letting it fall to my knee like the dress. She was suprisingly good with make-up, too, she did wings on my eyes and found a shade of lipstick to match the scales. She giggled and sat down in her own little pink ballgown, with small plastic heels on and her hair in a bun. We sat and talked over the "tea" for about an hour before someone knocked on the door. "Can you please get that? I'll clean up." Sally said, beginning to put up the tea set. I nodded and walked over to the door, forgetting about the outfit I was wearing. I opened the door to be met by a slightly wide eyed Toby, I could see it through his mask. "Uh...I just came to...see if you w-were okay..." He said, twitching slightly. I laughed and pecked him on the cheek, "I'm fine. Sally just wanted some girl time." He nodded, closing the door behind him. I turned around to see Sally smiling widely. I narrowed my eyes and cocked my head slightly, "What?" She giggled and shook her head. I sighed, kneeling down in front of her. "What's so funny?" She laughed, "You two!" I blushed slightly and ducked my head, causing her to laugh even harder. I sighed, suddenly feeling cramped in a small space. I excused myself from her room and lept out one of the windows, unfurling my wings. I flew past the pond, into the town. I flew into a small window, suddenly needing to kill. I saw a girl jump out of her bead and stare right at me, as if she could see me in the dark. She rushed my with a dagger in each hand, bowling me over. I hissed and dialated my eyes so that I could see who I was fighting. Once I did, I fell still. She glared at me, pointing her dagger to my throat. "P-Payton...?" I said silently. Her eyes widened and she dropped the dagger.

"Lex?"
