You thought you felt it all after how many break ups
You thought that you looked fine, oh the power of make up
Yo promised to be good the next day you'd wake up
Only to batthe hell and that unexpected pay cut.
Love made so many promises all one by one being broken
Love whispered sweet nothings that should have never been spoken
It triggered all these feelings that should have never awoken
It had fun playing its games and took my heart as a token.
Love is the strongest emotion, strong but leaves you weak
It was nothing but a game, of which I could not compete
So I decided to give up, accept my defeat
Before the cycle continues, let it cease to repeat.
Love is the strongest emotion but comes with the most pain
Chasing meaningless feelings with nothing to gain
Experiencing pathetic fallacy, your sadness is rain
Leaving an endless black hole, no heart remains.
Love that is in humans resides in the heart
And the heart that loves has no fear of the dark
But when deprived of its feeling slowly falls apart
Ripped at the seams, no machine can jumpstart.
