Kamoshida's voice echoed throughout the room.
"To think you would make the same mistake again." He gave a condescending chuckle as he looked down at the group. "You're hopeless." He added, the corners of his lips curved upwards into a smirk.
His golden crown laid dully on Kamoshida's curly black hair, as the red cape laid on top of his shoulders. His unshaved legs were on display for all to see. Through the small gap of the cape, Suzuki could see his red and pink heart patterned underwear. Suzuki bit back the urge to gag.
"When you said Kamoshida was a king, this wasn't the picture I had in mind." Suzuki mutter to himself, in clear disbelief,
Ryuji shook his head before stepping in front of Suzuki. "No, the school ain't is castle." He spoke loudly, standing up to Kamoshida. He puffed his chest, straightened his back. Although Kamoshida had a slighter bigger build, from where Suzuki stood, it almost looked like they could compete against one another.
"We've memorized their faces real good." Ryuji said, his own smirk painted on his face. "You're goin' down!"
Kamoshida remained unfazed as his smirk never flattered for a second.
"It seems it's true when they say 'barking dogs seldom bite.'" Condescendingly, Kamoshida tilted his head, looking down upon Ryuji and Suzuki. "How far the star runners of the track team have fallen."
Ryuji stomped his foot, angrily. Morgana and Akira continued to watch from the sidelines, ready to jump in whenever the situation called for it. Morgana didn't like where this was going at all.
"What are you getting at?" Ryuji hissed as Suzuki shifted his weight uncomfortably.
"Oh?" Kamoshida tilted his head, in fake confusion. "Oh, I speak of the 'Track Traitor' who acted in violence, ending his teammates' dreams." Kamoshida gave a dramatic sigh. "I can only imagine the pain of the others who were dragged under your...selfish act."
"Selfish act?" Suzuki repeated.
He could be silent no more. Suzuki wasn't the conformation type, but Kamoshida always knew how to press the wrong buttons with him.
"Ha, you are just some old man who can't get over the fact your era is over." Suzuki took a daring step towards Kamoshida, where he was stopped by a golden suit of armor with a shield. Suzuki looked at the monster. It was like every other thing he had witnessed in the palace.
Nonetheless, Suzuki continued. "You felt threatened by the power of the track team, so you sabotaged us from the start." He shouted. His gaze shot past the golden armor and locked onto Kamoshida. Nothing else mattered to him.
"If we were still there, you're precious ego would have long been left in the dirt." Suzuki hissed, anger and pain seemed to drip from every word he directed towards Kamoshida. His voice trembled slightly, his emotions getting the better of him.
Kamoshida shook his head, a frown evident on his face. "How can we forget the Track Whore?"
He questioned as his eyes locked with Suzuki's.
"One star was violent and selfish; the other was a quitter who gave up when it got too hard." Kamoshida gave an apathetic shrug. "With star players like that, the track team was destined to fail before I even got there."
In the background, Akira looked confused alongside Morgana.
Kamoshida's eyes shifted towards his, as the smirk on his face only grew. He couldn't help but laughed a bit.
"What a surprise. So you're accompanying them without knowing anything at all?" He snickered a bit. "They betrayed their teammates and crushed their hopes, yet they both carry on as carefree as ever."
"That's not true!" Suzuki exclaimed.
Kamoshida ignored Suzuki. "You've come along with these fools and are now going to end up dead... How unlucky of you."
Suzuki gritted his teeth, his nails dug into the palm of his face. The suit of armor was the only thing separating Kamoshida's cheek from Suzuki's fist.
"Don't sully my castle with garbage." Kamoshida walked away from the squad, not even giving them a second look as his minors took the place of where he was once standing.
"Goddamnit..." Ryuji cursed under his breath.
As Kamoshida's cape fluttered behind him, the monsters moved in. Without a moment of hesitation, they stood guard to protect their king and ruler.
"Suzuki, Ryuji, move!" Morgana called out as he and Akira pushed the duo behind them.
With Ryuji and Suzuki out of the way, Morgana and Akira quickly became surrounded by the enemy. The non-combative duo couldn't help but feel useless as they watched the battle play out before their eyes.
"I'll kill you! I'll kill you 'cause King Kamoshida told us!" One of the monsters shouted, as it morphed into a black horse. It had a black and green striped horns and shiny silver locks. If the situation had been a better one, Suzuki might have been intrigued by the horses strange appearance.
Suzuki felt a wave of emotions, he wanted to scream and shout, but he knew he couldn't. Real or not, Kamoshida almost always had someone wrapped around his fingers. Suzuki felt his teeth sink into his bottom lip as he bit hard.
"This is bad..." Morgana mumbled, looking at the growing armed forces of the forces.
With each passing second, the duo became more and more surrounded. As Suzuki trembled in anger, Ryuji was forced to watch his new friends beaten to a pupil before falling to the ground.
Akira's knees buckled under him, as he felt the force behind the last opponent's attack.
Before he knew it, he found himself sprawled onto the ground. However even then, his red gloved hand continued to hold tightly onto his knife. With Morgana in similar condition, Akira knew that the pair had pushed themselves too far.
"Guys!" Ryuji shouted, however his cries fell on deaf ears.
Akira pushed himself up one more time before pathetically falling back onto his face. It was no use. He was out of energy. His body stung and cried, begging for rest.
Kamoshida smirked, glancing over at the Suzuki and Ryuji as they simply watched in despair. "I bet you came here on a whim and ended up like this. Isn't that right?" He questioned, despite already having the answer he so desperately wanted.
"No..." Ryuji whimpered.
Kamoshida snickered. "What a worthless piece of trash, getting so emotional so quickly..."
Standing proudly, Kamoshida looked down at Ryuji and Suzuki. He knew that he had already backed them up into a corner. "Though it was only temporary, have you forgotten my kindness in supervising track practice?"
Suzuki let out a breathy forced laugh. "You called that kindness?"The disgusting similarities of Kamoshida and his father made him want to stab them both and get it over with.
Ryuji fell to the ground, holding his head low. "That wasn't practice! It was just physical abuse since you didn't like our team!" He shouted, tears started to run down his face. Suzuki knew the type of pain he was feeling.
The pain of not being able to do anything.
