"Alex, babe, we should get married," Uriah spoke as we walked home. All our friends were married already, well that or on their way to being married. It's been two years since our initiation, so everyone is always bugging us about getting married. Usually we just blow it off and tell them we'll get married when we're ready.
"I agree," I said, smiling at him. "We should get married finally. We've only been engaged like a year."
To the other factions, our relationship would seem rushed, but in Dauntless people marry after knowing each other for mere hours. There's something crazy and reckless about love and marriage that seems, to most Dauntless, to be the most dangerous thing of all.
We were ready to get married. We were both beyond happy that our small family was growing. We both wanted a decent sized family since we came from small families.
"Tomorrow?" He asked, hopefully.
"How about in a month?" I asked. His smile faltered for a split second before reappearing just as bright as it had been earlier.
"Good plan. Let's go plan it," he said.
The next month dragged on as we ran around like chickens with our heads cut off. Between Adalyn, the twins, work, and the wedding, we barely had time for each other, yet, we still made it work somehow.
"Alex," Uriah said as we got into bed the night before the wedding.
"Uriah," I responded, curling up against his side. Adalyn's baby monitor was sitting in the night stand, buzzing softly, and the TV was playing at a low volume. Even with the white noise, the room seemed silent.
"I love you so very very much. I don't really know how to put it into words, baby boy, but I do love you, a lot," he said. I felt the blush rising in my cheeks at his words.
"I love you too baby," I said. I leaned back to look at his face and he was smiling softly. His smile caused one to spread across my face too.
He leaned down and kissed me gently and lovingly. He moved to deepen the kiss as I submitted to his movements. I may be Dauntless, but I still love his dominant side.
A/N: Sorry that it's short and trashy, but it's a filler so that I can get to writing the wedding. I promise it'll get better. Much love for all my readers.
