Lumine pov
When Kody left the room, I did as I was told and tried to rest. I played down on my side, I could hear the conversation with kids 'father' and himself.
I hear a knock on the door, I don't mind it until I hear Kody get angry. It doesn't surprise me because Kody always gets mad.
Then I hear him say " you don't get you see him. You don't get to lay our disgusting hands on him. He doesn't love you anymore." my heart drops, who was he saying this to? I need to know who it is.
I make my way to the door, I press my ear against it listening. I listen for a while. That's when I hear his name. Derek.
My whole mind drops. I don't understand, so Kody's father is his father and not Derek. So that means, Derek knows where I live now.
I start to hyperventilate, I was being consumed by darkness. No, I can't deal with this right now. I don't need this right now.
