Chapter 5 | Saving the kid

Once again I apologize for a late update. It's almost summer but there's so much to do that it's killing me.

The entire team along with Cable are now on their way to the X-Men mansion. Wade, Domino, Peter, Cable and Dopinder driving in a cab in front and you with the rest following behind them in Zeitgeist's car.

"Where are we going again?"
Shattersrar asks while looking out the window.

"No clue, Wade said just to follow until we make it there."
Zeitgeist says while making sure to stay behind Dopinders cab.

Shatterstar let's out an annoying sigh.
"Aren't we supposed to go after the kid? You humans are just hopeless, never able to do your job properly."

Bedlam gives him a warning punch in the arm, followed by an angry glare that shuts Shatterstar up for a while.

"If you hate our team so much why bother even being here?"
You ask him from the front seat next to Zeitgeist with your eyebrows furrowed.

He simply turns away to look out the window again, too scared to get another hit form Bedlam.

You sigh and look back at the road in front of you. In the distance you can see a big builing approaching. It looks like a mansion that could either be a school or some other type of facility. As you arrive closer Dopinders cab suddenly stops, making Zeitgeist nearly hit.
Wade then excits the cab and pulls out his phone. Turning on a song he blasts it towards the building and start calling out for someone.
You stick your head out the car window to have a better look at the situation. Wade is desperately calling out for Colossus but the man shows no signs of even behind there. Two teens then appear on a balcony not far away and Wade greets them.

"Isn't that the X-men mansion?"
You suddenly realize.

You have never actually been here or anywhere near the building and only seen pictures of it on the newspaper so it took you a awhile to recognize the place.

"Looks like it, you think we can get the X-Men to join us?"
Zeitgeist asks while also looking at Wade who is still trying to lure Colossus out.

"I doubt it, though it would be nice."
You answer.

Soon Wade climbs back into he cab. Guess his plan to get Colossus to join didn't work.
We continue driving, now towards the orphanage. You can't help but feel nervous about the thought of fighting Juggernaut. Zeitgeist must have noticed the worry in your eyes because he places his free hand on your shoulder and flashes a smirk towards you.
"Come on put a smile on that pretty face, there's no need to worry we'll take this guy down with no problem."
He teases while still giving you that iconic smirk.

You chuckle with a light blush on you cheeks.
"Yeah, I'll try."

He then turn back to the road before giving you a small supporting sqeeze on you shoulder as he takes his arm away.
