"He'll never feel the same....ever"

"It's now or never"

Sal continued staring at Brian, clueless of what he and the others were saying, Brian stared back confused.

"Sal, what are you staring at?" Brian asked, confused beyond words.

"Oh, um, sorry, I was just thinking" Sal lied as he snapped out of it.

"What were you thinking about buddy?" Brian questioned.

"Oh,I'm not exactly sure...sorry" Sal responded, he was worried that Brian would catch on and question why he was blushing so brightly, at this moment, Sal just wanted to run into a bathroom and cry,he wanted to go home, his heart once again filled with heartbreak,it hurt, not physically, but emotionally and mentally;Sal looked down at his beer,all he needed now was to get caught staring at Brian.

"Hey Sal, are you okay?" Brian asked as he put his hand on Sal's shoulder.

"Yeah, I'm fine, what makes you think something wrong?" Sal asked, worried that Brian was catching onto something.

"You just seem upset, you're not talking and you've got your head down" Brian explained.

"I've just got nothing to say, that's all" Sal answered.

"Are you sure Sal,your not normally like this,if something bothering you,you know you can tell me" Brian explain, he began to get worried about the younger man in front of him, Sal seemed upset to be at the bar,he seemed lonely despite the fact that he was surrounded by the other guys; Sal stared into Brian's dark brown eyes, he started wishing his time to confess wouldn't come, he wasn't ready for Brian to know he was in love with him.

"Why am I such a damn wimp?" Sal thought miserably to himself, he sighed in response to these feelings and thoughts.

Once they had all ran out of things to talk about, Brian eventually wandered off.

"Who's that?" Sal asked while pointing at a girl who Brian was oddly close to.

"Awww, are you jealous Sally?" James asked.

"What no!!" Sal lied, he was a little jealous that Brian was hanging out with that girl.

"I'm sure she's just his friend buddy, kay?" Joe assured.

"Okay....but what if she isn't?" Sal asked.

"Buddy, Brian always tells us when he's in a relationship or when he's seeing someone, and he hasn't told us about anyone lately" James stated. Sal let that sentence linger in his mind for a moment before saying,

"Yeah, I guess you're right" Sal agreed, no longer worrying about that.

Despite the fact that she probably was just a friend, it still upset him, Sal wished he was that girl, he wished that he could be in her place; he became gradually more upset as he watched them, they laughed while they talked to one another, Brian seemed happier than ever with her,

"What if she is more than a friend to him..?" Sal thought, he began to worry that she was, but of course, Sal would never ask.

Hours passed as Sal watched Brian and the mysterious girl laugh, talk and dance, by this time the bar was filled with people, James and Joe were talking about something Sal wasn't interested in, there was only one thing Sal was paying attention to, as always, it was Brian, his gut immediately filled with a fluttery feeling , a feeling telling him it was time, time to confess, to tell Brian how much he meant to him, his love was minutes away from being known.

"Guys....," Sal began to explain.

"I.....I think I'm ready...."

"Sal, you sure?" Joe asked, just to make sure Sal was serious.

"Ye-..yeah" Sal promised.

Sal knew he couldn't go back now, he had no choice, regret suddenly filled his chest, but he kept repeating in his head,

"It's now or never, now or never, now or never "

He believed in himself, at least he tried to, him, Joe and James all walked towards Brian and the unknown girl, Sal began to breathe heavily as he approached the two, what if the girl wouldn't leave Brian, what if they were a so-called "thing" and Brian just hadn't told them,

"I doubt it, why wouldn't Brian tell us, he always has," Sal thought, every step closer, every inch closer was more and more stressful.

"I can do this, I can do this" Sal continued telling himself.

"I CAN do this.....right...?"
