My breath was slow as I tried to calm my racing heart. My adrenaline was pumping as the slightest rim of red started to appear in my eyes. I was fueled by the anger that ran through me like a fast moving stream.

His cold black eyes locked with mine, sending me the clear message that this was going to be a nasty fight. The way he was standing and the build of his body told me that he had many experiences in fighting. There was a scar that ran down the side of his shoulder, the bald patch where his fur once stuck out was now just a reminder that it was a close call for him… I bet that caused him to train ten times harder than ever before.

I motioned for him to come at me with my fingers before flicking a stray hair out of my face. “Bring it on mutt, lets see what you got…” I growled, something I learned to do when I felt threatened or angry.

At the sound of my growl his ears shot backwards as he let out a snarl, lunging at me. His mouth came at me but some how he knew that I would be dodging his mouth and the impact of his paw on my chest knocked my backwards into a near by tree.

I let out a gasp as I tried to catch my breath, taking a moment to focus my vision once more. I stood up and pressed my back against the bark as I watched him make his way towards me, slowly trying to make me afraid. This was the move clearly known as stalking to werewolves, it strikes a sudden fear into the opponent when the other has the upper hand. Sadly for him I was anticipating this and already prepared for my next move.

As he took off at a sprint towards me again the dirt underneath him flew into the air at the force he used to take off once more. His weakness was suddenly clear to me, he was skilled but because he was so big it took more effort and time…

I stood my ground, digging my nails into the tree as I waited for the right moment to make my move. I watched carefully and felt the ground underneath me as he grew closer; it was like a little earthquake as he pounded his feet against the hard ground. I jumped to the right causing him to run straight into the tree, knocking it over with impact.

He let out a whimper as he tried to stand up again. There were definitely some cracking that came along with that hit… it was clearly not the tree that did it either. He was already healing but I knew that took some energy and with that he was going to be vulnerable for a minute or two.

I took this to my advantage as I stalked over to him and put a smile on my face. I reached down and grabbed the fur on top of his head, yanking it backwards so he could see me. “I admit you are good mutt… but it is clear that you are lacking in a few areas.”
