There was a red head woman three seats away from her that had been staring at her since Lani took her seat in the bleachers after making sure that Aiden was situated and ready to play. They were now in the second quarter of the game, and it seemed like the woman had spent more time watching her than watching her bratty kid fumble the ball and kick it off of the sidelines. Everytime Lani sneered in her direction, the woman looked away for .5 seconds before redirecting her attention to her. Lani couldn't stand soccer moms. With her tattoos and her bleached blonde hair, she knew she didn't exactly fit in with the crowd but that didn't give her the right to stare.

"Why don't you take a fucking picture?" Lani finally snapped, taking her eyes off of Aiden to redirect the attention to the woman.

She looked at her in confusion before looking away as Lani sighed in relief and put her attention back on Aiden. He was on the sidelines, leaning over with his hands balanced on his knees but they were still in the middle of the game. That's how she knew that something was wrong. Aiden loved soccer and he hated when he had to stop playing for any reason. Slowly, Lani rose from her seat on the bleachers and began to make her way to where Aiden was. Just as she reached him, he rubbed his chest then collapsed in her arms, releasing a loud sob as Lani rubbed his back and picked him.

"I can't breathe," he huffed as Lani tried to calm him down, but when he was this hysterical, Demi was the only one who could calm him down.

"Okay, we're going to the hospital now," Lani tried to comfort him, and he continued to cry but he didn't say anything else.

Totally forgetting about his bag and everything else, Lani rushed him to her car and quickly buckled him in, breaking every traffic law in existence to get to the hospital, calling on the way there so that they knew she was coming. When they pulled into the emergency section of Cedars Sinai, there were already a few nurses with a stretcher waiting outside, and Lani barely turned her car off before getting Aiden out and carefully laying him down. His eyes were closed but he was still breathing, and they worked to put an oxygen mask covered with a lion over his mouth and rushed him inside with Lani running after them.

"Ma'am, you can't go any further!" One of the nurses said, gently pushing Lani back a little bit as she caught her breath.

"Where are you taking him?"

"Just to the ER. We'll let you know as soon as we have any updates. I promise. Are you his mother?" The nurse in the purple scrubs asked as Lani shook her head.

"Well, you might want to call her. Like I said, we'll keep you updated," the nurse said before rushing in the direction of the ER.

Lani sunk into one of the cushioned chairs pushed against the walls, resting her head against the wall before pulling her phone out and dialing Demi's number.

There was loud music playing in the background, and at first Lani couldn't really hear her until it quieted down a little bit.

Hello?" Demi answered as Lani suddenly growled in frustration.

"Hey, Demi! I've been trying to get ahold of you for hours, what have you been doing?" Lani screeched, knowing that Demi probably had that confused look on her face where she furrowed her eyebrows and screwed her whole face up.

"What, what's wrong?" Demi questioned as Lani deeply sighed.

"It's Aiden. You need to come back home," she stated as calmly as she could because she knew that Demi would be doing enough freaking out for the both of them.

"WHAT? WHAT HAPPENED?" Demi exclaimed as Lani put the phone on speaker so that she wouldn't have to listen to Demi scream in her ear.

"I don't know. One minute he was fine then the next thing I know he had basically passed out in my arms. He said he couldn't breathe so I brought him to the hospital and he's in the ER. You need to get here...now," Lani demanded as she heard Demi whisper something to someone, probably Drake, before she spoke again.
