I sat in bed reading a book , an interesting one at that , I was totally engrossed until I heard a knock on the door , the door opened without waiting for consent an in walked mum "hey sweety , dinner is ready" she flashed me a smile and walked away

The door left wide open , I hated that , the door was closed when you walked in

I sighed and dragged myself off the bed , wincing as I did

My legs still hurt from yesterday which resulted in me not going to school today and thank god today was Friday

I needed abit of rest and I needed to start binge reading asap because I really felt empty without reading my books

I threw on my fluffy black bed coat and headed downstairs , it was getting colder these days . maybe its just me

I could smell Chicken and my mouth instantly watered , I sped up my pace and ran to the dinner table where my father and Chanyeol sat

"Hey sweetheart , I feel like I haven't seen you in ages !" Dad said before biting onto a chicken leg

"She hardly has time for any of us these days dear , that's correct , she's forgotten the people who has clothed her , fed her and loved her-"

Dad cleared his throat to interrupt mums irrelevant babbling and I rolled my eyes at her words "I'm not doing it on purpose I've just been busy doing stuff.." I grabbed onto a roll and bit into

"Yeah .. Stuff.." Chanyeol scoffed and I shot him a glare , Dad noticed this and frowned "this is unlikely .. What's been going on?" He tangled his fingers together with his elbows set on the table to listen

"Chanyeol doesn't approve of my mate-"
"I don't approve of her mate-"

We both said at the same time making everyone fall silent , mum took a seat with a worried look on her face "And why is that sweety?" Mum asked Chanyeol who threatened me with his eyes

"The other night while you guys were out-"

"We mated" I blurted out , a gasp escaping mum mouth and dad froze

"Your mate ?" My father questioned and I rolled my eyes . no , not my mate ...duh!

I nodded my head "why didn't you tell us sooner?" Mum questioned and I shot dirty looks at chanyeol

"Better from me then this stupid Snitch I call a cousin!" I hissed out with venom

"Whoa whoa! What's with your hormones Y/N , your so catty!" Mum giggled nervously and patted my back

"Bitchy is more like it!" Chanyeol retorted

"Now listen here!!-" I got cut off by the doorbell , I shot chanyeol a look and marching off to the door

Outside the kitchen and into the hallway , I swung open the door wanting to swear the person for interrupting my nice burn I planned to use

But I paused at the sight in front of me "Hey babygirl .. I came to check up on you" his voice sounded so gruff and I just shivered by hearing it

"Hi , hose-" "you can call me Hobi sweetheart" he moved closer to me and I blushed

A gust of cold wind hit me hard and I shivered even more but the heat radiating off my mate made me feel toasty

"Hobi" I said just to test it out and he bit his lip trying to contain a smile which failed

"Where's my hello kiss ?" He raised a playful eyebrow and I giggled , tip toeing and placing a quick peck on his soft pillowy lips

"What's taking you so long swee-" my father rounded the corner and freezing at the sight of hoseok

"Dad this is-"

"Alpha Jung hoseok sir , mate of your daughter here" Hobi bowed slightly making my father rush over to shake his hand

"Sir ?? No need for formalities !! Please come in" my father chuckled and moved aside so he could come in

"No that's alright I don't want to intrude" hoseok lifted a hand up to stop my father from moving but my dad frowned

"Nonsense ! Please do join us for supper , Y/N's mother would love to finally meet you "
