the sobbing sky

I sat outside as the rain came crashing down, letting the sobs from the sky soak my everything. I let my own sobs mix with the ones from above and I let my tears mix with the ones falling down. I watched as those yellow daisies drank up the downpour, reviving the in the wetness. but when the sky stopped it's sobbing, mine only increased because now, once again, i was alone in feeling this way

so I sat there, soaked
waiting for night to approach
waiting to feel the bitter cold
and see what else the sky holds
to see if the sky had an apology
waiting to give itself to me
but nighttime never came
as the wind whisked me away
to something that was supposed to be a      better place
