Zachary and Lucy spent the rest of their time trying in the run down, creaky cabin cleaning all the cuts and bruises on Zachary's face with pieces of fabric they'd torn from the sheets on the beds. Every now and then they would hear the voices of their captors whispering to each other outside of the room, only sometimes did Tyne conversations suddenly get heated. Lucy and Zachary barely spoke to each other but the silence wasn't awkward, they simply couldn't find anything worth talking about. There was nothing they could do to change their situation and it just didn't seem right to carry a conversation like everything was normal. It wasn't long before they heard voices outside of the room once again while Zachary tried to nap on his bed.

"Now that she took that Justin kid out of the picture, who should be next?" A male voice asks groggily.

"Let's be patient about this, we have to choose the right people. We can't just go around killing everyone we see." Another voice replies.

"Why not? Can I kill that boy in there? What was his name again?" The male asks, his voice sounded as if he was almost begging to be able to put a knife to Zachary's throat.

"Zachary? No, we can't kill him, he's the one person they said we weren't allowed to kill." The second person says. "They obviously know him, I don't know why or how but something tells me they care deeply about that boy. I just don't understand why they allowed us to hold him here if he was important."

"They?" Lucy whispers to Zachary. "How many are there?"

Zachary shrugs and continues to listen to the conversation wiping the sleepiness out of his eyes.

"What about Chase Blinder? He's in the hospital, it's an easy target." The male says, once again desperate to kill.

"The kid has already killed one at the hospital we can't kill another one in the same day, that's how we're tracked down and placed in jail." The second voice says just as a loud bang on the door sounds. The people stop talking immediately and shushed each other harshly. Zachary heard a gun being loaded and he moved to Lucy's side.

"Police! Open up now. We know you have captives!" A deep voice yells and hits the door again. Zachary's heart dropped when he heard the voice, the police finally showed. They were finally doing something useful in this town and he and Lucy would be saved.

"And who exactly do you think we have?" The male yells back.

"Zachary Brunette and Lucy Hunter! They've been missing for four days now. We've been notified that they're being held inside this cabin." The police officer says. "Open this door now, or else we'll have to break it down!"

Lucy looks at Zachary and he nods. The two began to scream as if on cue.

"Hey! We're in here!" Zachary yells first.

"We're here!" Lucy screams right after him.

The door opened and the man that had beaten Zachary nearly to death walked in and held a pistol against Lucy's temple. Immediately, Lucy stopped screaming and the hope that was sparkling in her eyes moments before was now replaced with pure fear.

"Scream again and your little girlfriend will be dead." The man growls. Zachary heard the door to the cabin being hit over and over with something big. It wouldn't be long before the police broke through, most of the cabin was rotted so the wood had to be weakened.

"Can I ask you a question?" Zachary asks, his voice cracking with fear.

"What?"!The man yells as he swayed back and forth in anticipation regripping the pistol in his hands.

Zachary thinks for a bit and finally came up with a question to ask. He hadn't thought about what question he wanted to know the answer to, he simply just wanted to stall. "Why aren't you allowed to kill me?"

"How should I know kid? They don't tell me anything, they just told me not to kill you." The man answers with a shrug.

Before Zachary could come up with a reply front door to the cabin is finally busted down and cops pile inside one by one. One officer spotted them and immediately raised his gun ready to shoot if the guy tried anything.

"Put the gun on the floor and put your hands above your head." The officer stated but the man doesn't obey.

"Officer Peters! Get Zachary and take him to the ambulance, he doesn't look good." The officer holding the gun yells to his partner.

The cop who was apparently Officer Peters ran into the room with her gun drawn as well.

"No! I'm not leaving Lucy!" Zachary says and struggles against the cop who was holding his wrist and desperately trying to drag him out of the room. Zachary looked back and forth between Officer Peters and Lucy trying to decide what he should do.

"Kid, she'll be okay. I won't let anything happen to her. Plus you're friends are out there waiting for you." The officer says and turns back to Lucy. Officer Peters walked Zachary out of the cabin and nausea took over him as soon as he got the whiff of fresh air. He hadn't stood up since he was beaten and the pain was all crashing down on him at once. He gripped Officer Peters shoulder and she helped him through the grass walking him towards the ambulance. Almost immediately after he sat down at the end of the ambulance van he saw Pheobe. She was crying and smiling as she ran towards him, her brunette hair swaying behind her as she ran.

"Zachary!" She yelled and tackled him in a hug. Zachary nearly fell over but he caught his balance and hugged Pheobe tightly not wanting to ever let go of her. Sawyer suddenly joined the hug and so did Jacelyn.

"I've been worried sick. Never do that again!" Pheobe says after the hug ended. She playfully hit Zachary's arm.

"Yeah, seriously Zachary don't go into anymore stupid creepy cabins and do stupid stuff!" Jacelyn yells but she sounded more serious than Pheobe had.

"I'll try not to-" Zachary was cut off with a loud crash and a gunshot. Zachary immediately remembered Lucy. He nearly ran back into the cabin but a sobbing Lucy walked out of the cabin with the sheriff by her side. Zachary sighed in relief. Pheobe, Jacelyn, and Sawyer ran and hugged her as well while Zachary was having his bruises and cuts cleaned by a medic.
