The next day Sawyer's older sister, Tessa, was released from her mental facility and was told the news about Sawyer. Obviously she was shocked and couldn't believe a word anyone said to her. She knew her brother and she knew he'd never hurt a soul.

Zachary spent that Thursday trying to figure out how he could prove Sawyer innocent. He racked his brain of every single possibility but most of them were impossible, or illegal. The sort of legal thing he could think of was catching the actual killer red handed, which meant he needed to go back to the cabin. He was deciding against that idea when he thought of something else. He threw on his shoes and a jacket and ran out of his room.

"I'm going to hang out with Pheobe! Don't wait up!" Zachary called out to his family that probably wasn't even home and ran out of his house and towards the police department. He ran inside and went straight for the sheriff's office. Zachary opened the door and saw Sheriff Rogers looking through files. Sheriff Rogers looks up and closes the papers.

"If someone else is murdered, you'll know Sawyer is innocent." Zachary spits out and sits on a chair.

"What are you talking about kid?" Sheriff Rogers asks

"If someone else is murdered while Sawyer is in police custody then you'll know he's innocent." Zachary says

"Well, I suppose your right but if someone isn't killed by the day of Sawyer's trial then he will still be placed in juvy unless proven otherwise." Sheriff Rogers says

"So, we just wait. If the killer strikes again them Sawyer is freed." Zachary smiled.

"Just out of curiosity, Mr. Brunette. What are you performing at the talent show at Eden High tomorrow?" Sheriff asks randomly

"I'm not participating. Why?" Zachary asks

"I'm just trying to decide if I want to attend or not." Roger says. "Run among now."

"Well someone is doing a magic show, they said it was a special ending." Zachary says before he leaves the police department. Zachary was on his way home when he bumped into a very familiar Lizzy Blinder.

"Hey. How are you doing?" Lizzy asks and begins to walk beside him.

"I'm fine, and you?" Zachary asks

"Good, I'm good." Lizzy says. "So are you and that Pheobe girl a thing?"

"Um, yeah. We've been dating for almost a year." Zachary says

"Oh! Cool, that's great." Lizzy smiles, but Zachary could tell the smile was fake.

"Are you going to the talent show tomorrow?" Zachary asks

"Yeah, I'm actually the assistant for the magic show at the end." Lizzy says.

"That's cool. I'll be looking forward to it." Zachary smiled.

Lizzy nods. "Well, I better get home. I'll see you tomorrow?"

"Yeah, totally." Zachary nods and Lizzy runs off. Zachary thought about Lizzy for the rest of the way home, he wondered why she would just randomly start a conversation when they'd never even spoken before yesterday. But Zachary thought she was cool and nice, he hoped they could be friends in the future...
