It came as a complete surprise one day when the house on the corner of Third Street and Nineteen Road wasn't standing anymore. No peeling paint, no broken windows, no balding carpets.

It was gone, reduced to broken wood and cracked stone there in a pile.

Ravens didn't crow around it anymore. There was no sign of it really being there, other than the debris caused by the deconstruction machines.

Dan and Phil weren't really all that upset over the demolition of the house. It was about time that it went, really. The whole town must have thought so as well, since it went in the first place.

There were no more tales to tell of the cults and the murders and witches and ghosts that supposedly dwelled the hallways and walked the rooms.

No.

Not with everything gone.

The house on the corner of Third Street and Nineteen Road died, along with the rumours of speculations.

As well as two boys, cuddled and fast asleep upon the balcony.

Sleeping on a private lot wasn't the most conscious of ideas from either party, in retrospect.

Perhaps, at least now someone will have true ghost stories to speak about from the house on the corner of Third Street and Nineteen Road.
