Black King, originally 5 members, debuted on December 18th, 2017, alongside their sister group, White Queen, and together make up the group Royals. Prior to their 1st comeback, it was announced that the group would be expanding and members Ash and Zayn joined the team. In the summer of 2018, their company announced that the team would be expanding once more but that the new member would join through survival show, Prince Project. However, the show was cancelled due to internal conflict within the production team. Following the close of the show, fans were able to vote from the remaining contestants to decide who will join the team and from that, Juwoon and Jun were added to the team. On October 31st, it was announced that the group would be rebranding under the name Kingz
