You've been a few weeks clean. You haven't talked to Dakota about what he said the last time he came, but only because you weren't sure how to bring it up.You were sitting on your bed playing your acoustic guitar. Next to you was a journal with lyrics. You also had the guitar chords written. You began to hum the song as you played. You wrote down the lyrics. An edit here, an edit there... Your phone rang.
"Hello?" You asked putting your pencil down.
"Hey, _______." Dakota.
"Hey." You smiled eagerly putting your guitar down.
"I'm going to the skate park today. Want to come?" He asked
"Sure." You smiled.
"Good because I'm outside your door." Dakota informed. Laughing you got your skateboard and out the door.
"Hey." You smiled.
"Hey. Cool skateboard. I like the blue flames." He complimented.
"Yours looks better than mine." You replied. His skateboard was slightly bigger as well.
"First on there wins?" He asked placing his skateboard on the side walk.
"Nah. What's the rush? Let's just walk there." You replied throwing your skateboard over your shoulder. Dakota looked at your arms and smiled.
"I'm proud of you."
"Why?"
"It has been a week and no fresh cuts." He replied.
"The only reason is because you flushed my blades and James isn't letting me anywhere near sharp objects." You replied.
"I'm just glad you're getting better." He smiled.
"Listen about what you said last week... I don't understand. There are seven billion people on this planet. Half are females leaving you with three billion five hundred million females to chose from. Out of all of them why me?" You asked.
"Because....I.....I don't know. I just love you." He replied.
"Are you sure it's not just a crush?" You asked. Dakota let out a slight scoff.
"If that was true then that means I have had a 'crush' on you for the past three years! I don't understand why you don't see that I like you."
"I like you too, Dakota." You replied.
"Well I like-like you! Wait what am I saying; I'm not in kindergarten. I love you!" He exclaimed.
"I guess you could say that I love you too." You replied. Dakota looked at you. "I've kinda had a crush on you since I saw you in 'Real Steel'." You blushed.
"So we both love each other?" He asked.
"Well you've been my celebrity crush since I was 10." You informed.
"You have been my celebrity crush since I was 10." Dakota smiled.
"You, me, date, Saturday night?" He asked.
"Well that was fast." You laughed.
"I already have everything planned!" He smiled. You couldn't help but laugh.
"It's a date." You smiled.
"For real?" He asked.
"Of course." You smiled intertwining fingers with him. The two of you finally arrived at the skate park.
"Kota!" You heard someone cheered. The two of you were greeted by three boys. The oldest looked around sixteen and the two boys looked around 10 and appeared to be twins. The oldest had black spiky hair with brown eyes and the twins had brown shaggy hair and green eyes.
