Jackie's POV
Steve wasn't home from work yet, it had been an hour already I started to get worried. I sat patiently waiting on his bed. His mother called me over to her, I walked down the hall and into the living room. "Yes?" I asked "Steve said meet him at the park." She said sweetly. I nodded "Thank you Ms. Randle." I said before walking outside, there was a piece of paper with a little note on it "Freezing cold continue to the right" I smiled and rolled my eyes. He seriously took the time to write notes leading me to the park? Does he think I'm stupid and I don't know how to get to the park? I continued right just as the note said. Before I knew it was all the way by the lot, I picked up the last note it said "You actually followed the notes? You fell for my trick." . I shook my head, What the. Shit I fell for his trick. I sighed and turned around and Steve was standing there.
"You fell for my trick?" He asked raising a brow. He started laughing. I punched him in the arm "It isn't funny!" I shouted. I tried so hard not to laugh, but ended up bursting out into a fit of laughter. He grabbed my hand and we started walking towards the park. My truck had been in the shop for the last two weeks which was annoying to have to walk everywhere. Or get a ride from one of my friends. When we reached the park I saw my truck, it was completely fixed. I screamed and wrapped my arms around his neck "Thank you so much! I love you!" I shouted before kissing him and running to my truck. I smiled and walked around my truck.
It looked better than when I had bought it. I opened the drivers door, and got inside. I traced the wheel with the tips of my fingers. I smiled Steve got in on the passenger side, "You love this truck more than you love me." He said before shutting the door and putting on his seat belt. "Are you crazy?" I asked before kissing him on the cheek. "You fixed up my baby. And you keep it running. Just like my heart you keep it beating. And I love you more than anything else in this world." I said looking over at him. He smiled, and kissed me on the lips "I love you too, Babe. We should probably get home soon, or else my mother with fill her head with some crazy thoughts." He said. I nodded before starting the truck.
Once we got home his mother ran over to us "I thought y'all were killed or something!" She shouted pulling us into a group hug. "No, just went for a walk mom." Steve said. She nodded and finally let us go into Steve's room. We ended up cuddling for the rest of the night, I fell asleep in his arms. All I remember was the beat of his heart, but that's all I needed to remember. I was drop dead in-love with Steve Randle, forever and always.
Sorry it's so short, I just couldn't come up with a way to make Steve extremely sweet and all lovey dovey. Anyways please update the Steve and Evie love story soon!
