I tried to talk to mom,
about my ambition since I was 12.
I wanted to be a writer.

But I'm disappointed due to her response,
"Will that job make you rich?"

I was stunned.
"Mom, is being rich all that you care?"

And she nodded.
"Being rich is all that important.."

I cut her,
"Than my own happiness?"

She looked furious,
"Kim Sejeong, don't be childish! You're already 18 and you know being rich is all that can make you happy."

"But you never care about your own daughter."
