anyways one thing i'd keep in mind is to credit the show first for inspiring you to do the spin off and second of all, i'd make sure the character(s) aren't anything like the sensates but are different and unique in their own way.
the third thing is that even though your plot is inspired by the show, make sure to not have it exactly like it so if you want, you could change certain aspects and things so it can still be unique and original.
