Confession (Part 1 )

"Yah , Im Nayeon , if you still dont come out now I'll just leave without you" I teased in order to urge Nayeon to hurry up . Nayeon always take a long time to prepare before going anywhere . Even worse , I have once waited her for an hour and we ended up missing our movie later on . But this time , Nayeon is actually taking  shorter time to make up . I'm waiting for Nayeon outside her house to take her to prom . Both of us have been friends since young . I know her when I was 5 as I entered the same kindergarten as her . Besides that , we've also went to the same elementary school as well as high school . We often accompanied each other to and from school as well as taking care of one another . We are best friend and hang out with each other all the time until people thought we are siblings because our personalities are really alike . Our parents also know one another because we are neighbours and my house is only few blocks away from hers. For the past few months , I harboured a crush for her but I never had the guts to confess as I thought she only treats me as her best friend .

A couple of guys actually asked me for her number . Of course , I refused to give it to them in order to protect Nayeon from all these perverts . My 2 best lads , xxx and yyy are actually more understanding and have often questioned me why aren't I dating Nayeon having known her for so long . Nayeon has her clique of female friends whom oftem tease her when Im with her . I dont know whether she likes it or not when people keep saying that but I definitely enjoy people shipping me with her .

"Y/n ah " I heard someone call for me . It was Nayeon wearing a short off shoulder white dress that showed her cleavage and hugged her petite frame . I was speechless as I was stunned by her beauty .

"Erm , Y/n ??? Are you okay ? " Nayeon asked .

I snapped out of it and replied "Oh yea , Im okay . Lets go now , I dont want to be late again ". Nayeon giggled when I said that .

We walked to the nearest bus stop as we chatted along the way . I had to hold her to prevent her from falling because she was wearing her heels .

"After all these years studying for that stupid paper , I guess we would have to part " Nayeon said . We just finished high school and now is our prom .

"Yea , I know right " I replied . "I've so many things to be grateful for ."

"Oh , what about me " Nayeon asked while smiling at me and showing her bunny teeth .

"Well , you are just annoying " I teased .

Nayeon pouted at me and hit my arm. "Wtf y/n , Im going to get mad ..."

"I know you won't . Im just kidding anyway . Thanks for being with me all this while ." I said .

"Aww , thank you ! " Nayeon said as she smiled .

I smiled back as we walked. We took a bus to the prom venue which was actually less than 10 minutes away and arrived just as our classmates and schoolmates were streaming in . A couple of guys just stared at Nayeon stunned by her outfit as we walked in together .

"Omo , the two of you finally got together !" Nayeon's friend , Jihyo exclaimed .

"Oh , it's not like that actually ..." I said just before Jihyo cut me off .

"Come , lets sit together . We reserved two places for the both of you . " Jihyo said as she led us to the table where xxx and yyy were seated as well . So , there were 3 of us dudes surrounded by 9 girls including Nayeon and Jihyo . Anyway , it was little awkward as the 3 of us dudes were surrounded by girls and they chatted among themselves .

"So , any of you guys have a girlfriend ? " Sana asked and the three of us looked at each other blankly .

"Erm , not exactly ." I said trying to bail my two male friends out . "I actually have a crush on this girl but I won't tell who "
