Another great beginning sees my squinting eye
And looks favorably upon it; for there was another,
And he was the only competitor of Narcissus.
Calm himself he would have to, because there were too many
Beautiful girls to choose from!
And he chose them like they were flowers,
Seeking not only the most vibrant, or the healthiest, but the tallest, too.
Then one colossal moment,
He picked me.
I journeyed in the confinement of his hand- being watched,
Contaminated, and cared to indefinitely.
Oh, such a fine thing, to be loved!
And the thought of obsession, perhaps it is evil, but how compassionate!
days progressed and I began to drown.
I drowned in the water he gave me, but also in him
Because he never left me air
That wasn't his breath.
Though I dwindled on purpose
And was placed outside
A realization
Came to my mind-
That is, leave the self-loving creatures alone
They'll either let you wither away to the bone,
Or make you overflow and never, ever will they let you go.
