It was one of those days, where Sophie didn't care about a single thing. And somehow, she found herself slowly coping with things and accepting life as it was.
She was walking up to debriefing, silently following Merlin.
"Galahad and Lancelot, please remain for Merlin's debrief. Everyone else, reconvene at 1900 hours." Sophie heard Arthur talking.
While Merlin was talking about some underworld organization, Sophie was still silently standing in doors, listening to everything. It hurt to remember the mission at Valentine's base. Too many unpleasant memories.Debriefing was short and Sophie wasn't planning on indulging in it any longer. The moment Arthur said that they are free to leave, Sophie turned around to make her way downstairs to get back to work.
"Hey, Richards!" Roxy caught up with her.
"I said, call me Sophie, Roxy." Sophie paused for a second and fell into step with agent.
"Yes, right, Sophie." Roxy smiled.
"Are you staying at mansion or...?" Roxy soon asked.
"I am not sure, I have some errands to run and I think that it would be more convenient for me if I stayed at my own apartment. And I know that I promised you girls night, but we'll soon do it, I promise you, Roxy." Sophie turned to girl and gave her apologetic smile.
"I understand, seriously. I'll just catch up with work." Roxy nodded.
"You're amazing agent, I don't think that you need to catch up with anything." Sophie chuckled.
"Well... Someone needs help, so..." Roxy discreetly looked at Eggsy. Sophie just hummed in response.
"See, you later?" Roxy nodded at her and made her way to fitting room.
Sophie walked behind counter and started on her work again.
"Richards." Eggsy suddenly said unsurely. Sophie somehow didn't want to acknowledge the fact that he had been walking behind them downstairs.
"Yes?" Sophie answered quietly not looking up.
"If you're here about the suit then gimme a second and I'll go fetch it for you." Sophie said, quickly working on a stich.
"About that..." Eggsy trailed off.
Sophie slowly raised her head and looked at him. If he now tells that he doesn't need that tux, she was about to rip his head off.
"What?" Sophie asked slowly.
"Like we agreed that, you know, I would pick it up from here, yeah?" Eggsy started.
"Yes...?" Sophie slowly started.
"I was wondering, if you could bring it to my place?" Eggsy cringed at his own words.
Sophie's stomach dropped. Her vision went blurry and she just stared at him for a second.
"Are you a'right?" Eggsy asked leaning closer to her over the counter-top.
"Excuse me, what?" Sophie blinked rapidly.
"I'm little busy right now, aaaand it'll take som' time till I get home." Eggsy started explaining. Sophie didn't want to hear about it.
"Am I some courier?" Sophie said, her voice breaking.
"No, no, no. Of course not." Eggsy said, his eyes big.
"That's not what I meant." He continued.
"Why would I go there?" Sophie said, looking down again. Why would she go to his place? There will be his girlfriend. And she wasn't sure if she wants to meet that girl.
"Just bring the tux. Check on JB." Eggsy said last part with hope in his voice.
"Why do I have to be that one person?" Sophie whispered.
"Come on, I trust you." Eggsy said putting his hands on the counter and making Sophie look up. He sent her a hopeful smile.
"Give me the address." Sophie said looking away. Lad in front of her beamed and grabed pen and paper from the corner of the table and scribbled address on it.
"You're the best." Eggsy smiled while writing.
"Here." He said sliding piece of paper towards Sophie. She only nodded picking it up and looking at it.
"Gotta run, love." Eggsy smiled and went towards the exit.
"Wait!" Sophie called after, making him stop in his tracks.
"Yeah?" He turned around.
"What time am I supposed to deliver this?" Sophie said looking down to paper again.
"I need it this evening, around six. Is that good?" Eggsy shrugged.
"Yeah." Sophie nodded. Eggsy smiled and was gone, already skipping down the few steps, looking dapper as always.
