You shook your head, trying to ignore the annoying football player sitting beside you. Betty had gone to find Veronica so she had left you alone at lunch.
"Please?"
You shook your head again, popping a plump, red strawberry in your mouth while staring at the book in front of you. You had been trying to ignore Reggie for the past twenty minutes, but he was more persistent than you expected.
"Why can't you leave me alone?" You asked him. He only smiled at you, causing you to turn back to the book to keep the growing blush from multiplying.
"Because, sweetheart, you're pretty hard to ignore."
