I haven't looked back to my past in awhile.
I left it behind.
Over my shoulder,
No peeks.
It hurt for awhile.
I was always side glancing,
Under eye.
I watched behind me so often.
I got stuck in my head,
Stuck in my past.
I watched myself past my peak.
But setback,
Opaque.
Getting stuck in my head,
I found that I was weak.
So weak. But now my eyes stay forward.
Reach new heights and new peaks.
Find confidence in myself.
Positivity,
New reach.
My eyes stay forward towards,
My present,
My future.
My goals and plans weren't weak.
No more looking back.
I'm trying not to have doubts.
To have doubts when I reach new places,
Will have me falling down to my knees.
So I stopped looking back,
And started looking forward to my week.
Never over my shoulder,
No looks.
No peeks.
Just straight forward.
Toward a new me.
