who? you ask. 

well he was someone whom you hoped would see after a long day of college.

he was someone whom you wanted to lay in bed with at night– just to keep you safe.

now, who was he?

he was someone who no longer crosses your mind. 

he was a distant thought. 

he was the ex.

and a friend of your new boyfriend.

                                   you no longer ask these questions,
