Chapter 9 Mighty Dragons: Mega Charizard X vs Mega Garchomp

If we win this, we're victorious. But deep inside, I want to use Sceptile. That doesn't mean I'll throw away this battle.

"Inferno!" Draxxx yells suddenly and Charizard flew up. From his mouth came a powerful stream of fire that's sure to inflict a Burn if it hits.

"Dodge that!" I told Garchomp and he also flew as Charizard followed him. 'Garchomp is a Dragon- and Ground-type, but even a Burn effect which halves his Attack stat is troublesome.' Even though I'm far down on the ground, I could feel Inferno's intense heat. Draxxx's not planning to lose again. "Dragon Pulse!" I ordered and Dragon Pulse exploded with Inferno. "One more time!" I yelled and Charizard took another Dragon Pulse and was sent back.

"Are you okay, Charizard?" Draxxxx asked and Charizard gave him a thumbs up, indicating that he was fine.

"Use Dual Chop!" I commanded and Garchomp's fins glowed in bright green and flew toward Charizard.

Draxxx's P.O.V. 

"We can't afford to lose one more time. Flare Blitz!" I told Charizard and the flame on his tail intensely grew and engulfed his body as he charged at Garchomp. Garchomp strike at Flare Blitz with both fins and pushed hard. But I heard Charizard's angered cry and overpowered him.

"Garchomp!" Ryuson yelled but Garchomp assured him that he was okay. He was mysteriously flying lower than before.

"Blast Burn!" I commanded and Charizard punched the ground using the most powerful of all Fire-type moves. The ground started lighting up and exploding fast so Ryuson had Garchomp fly high to dodge. He succeeded in evading but once the dark smoke cleared from Blast Burn, Charizard arrived in front of Garchomp. "Use Dragon Claw!" I yelled and Charizard's claws formed dark green claws and strike Garchomp down. His health was at yellow now.

"Use Stone Edge!" Ryuson said and Garchomp hit the ground and tall pillars of stone started appearing toward Charizard.

"Fly away!" I told Charizard and he flew away from the stones. After a while, Charizard eventually escaped. "Inferno!" Charizard used Inferno on Garchomp again.

"Use Stone Edge to block!" Ryuson yelled and pillars of stone blocked Inferno. Charizard was surprised, then a tall Stone Edge appeared and his stomach was hit. Now, their HPs were the same. Charizard crashed to the ground. "Now Dragon Rush!" he said and Garchomp flew up to strike down.

"Flare Blitz!" I yelled and Charizard countered Dragon Rush and caused a huge explosion. Once the smoke cleared, there were no changes in either of their HPs. We all smiled at each other and all knew what was needed to do to win. 

Then we both said at the same time as we held our Key Stones, "Now, respond! Surpass evolution, Mega Evolve!"

At the same time, Charizard and Garchomp began Mega Evolving. Charizard's wings changed as did Garchomp's tail. Spikes formed on Charizard's shoulders as Garchomp's fins fused. And then Mega Garchomp and Mega Charizard X appeared. The 2 Mega Evolved Dragon-types faced each other with the same amount of confidence in themseloves. "Now this is a battle. Dragon Rush!" Ryuson yelled and Garchomp flew again.

"Flare Blitz, go!" I also yelled and Charizard was englufed in blue flames and flew up to counter Dragon Rush. They bounched off of each other but didn't take any damage.

"Use Dual Chop!" he said.

"Dragon Claw!" I ordered and their green-colored claws strike at each other, and continue to attack in the air. Then Garchomp and Charizard slashed with both claws and caused an explosion, inflictiong some damage. "Throw Garchomp!" I yelled and Charizard grabbed his arm and threw him far away as he spun around while Ryuson was surprised. "Inferno!" 

"Quick Dragon Pulse!" he said as Garchomp regained his balance. The powerful blue flames and dragon-shaped energy exploded into a black cloud.

"Blast Burn!" I said and Charizard was slightly engulfed in flames and punched the ground.

"Block it with Stone Edge!" Ryuson yelled as Garchomp pierced the ground and multiple stones appeared as a shield and protected Garchomp, being destroyed in the process. "Now, Dragon Rush, full blast!" he said as Garchomp went for the finishing move.

"Flare Blitz, full blast!" I also said and Charizard's Flare Blitz seemed stronger than normal. As the cloud of smoke forms, we were both eager to know who was still standing, only to see that both of them still are. But after a few seconds, Garchomp fell to the ground and returned to his normal form. "All right! We did it, Charizard!" I said as he roard and also returned to his normal form.

"Sorry, Garchomp." Ryuson said as he gave him a Sitrus Berry. "We'll avenge you. Won't we, Sceptile?" Ryuson took a glimpse at Sceptile who was already at his side. He stood up and prepared for battle.

"Let's win this, Blaziken."

When one of us loses, he will be forced to log out due to his closest Pokémon losing. That's why we decided to Save first. But strangely, it was gone from the Menu. We thought it was a minor bug and decided to worry about it later.

Sorry for the short chapter and that it took me a while to update again. School is such a big pain -_-
