Niall's Pov:
I couldn't believe this was happening. I thought at any second I was going to wake up, And when I do it'll all be a dream. I was wrong. This is really happening. Zayn told me he wanted to be with me. He said his heart told him he wants me, And your heart it never lies. I've wanted this for so long and I never believed it could happen. Here Zayn and I are, Laying on the couch wrapped in eachothers arms, Sharing gentle kisses every now and then. I pressed one final kiss to Zayn's lips before pulling away with a huge smile plastered on my face, Zayn raised his eyebrow.
"What?" He questioned with a light chuckle.
"I just, I can't believe this happening. Keep thinking I'm gonna wake up at any second" I replied, Zayn gently squeezed my hand.
"It's not a dream" He whispered while looking me directly in the eyes.
"I know" I ran my thumb across his cheek. "Are you sure? Zayn are you sure this is what you want? Cause if it isin't you have tell me now" I exclaimed, Zayn sighed.
"I'm not sure about alot of things Niall. This situation, It scares the fuck out of me, But I can't get you out my head. No matter how much I try I just can't, And I know that means something. I wanna be with you, But I'm afraid" He said.
"I understand that fear, Zayn I had it too. One thing I've learnt is you can do it alone, But it's easier when you have someone standing right beside you. If were in this, Were in it together. I'll help you through this Zayn, No it's not an easy road, But it's not impossible either" I stated, Zayn smiled weakly at me, I sighed deeply. The questions been looming over us since the start, I have to ask him. "What about Demi?" I questioned, Zayn's smile instantly fell.
"I'll tell her" He mumbled. "I just need to figure out what to say and when to say it. I don't wanna hurt her" I nodded my head in understanding. Demi she's the nicest person you'll ever come across, She dosen't deserve to be hurt, But she dosen't deserve to be lied to either.
"I can be there when you tell her? If you want?" I suggested, Zayn shook his head.
"No. It'll be better if it's just me" Zayn replied, I nodded once again before locking my fingers in with Zayn's. "Ni, Until I tell her can this just stay between us? I don't want her hearing it from anybody else but me" Doubt overtook my body and Zayn must have seen it fill my eyes. "I will tell her, I promise you I will. I just want her to be the first to know, I owe her that much" Zayn exclaimed, I smiled weakly, I understand where he's coming from. "I'll tell her tonight" Zayn said, I smiled brightly.
"Yeah, Yeah ok" I took a deep breath. "Were really doing this aren't we?" I stated, I couldn't contain my excitement, Zayn smiled and I leaned forward quickly pressing my lips against his.
I walked into school with the biggest smile on my face. Finally things were going right. Finally it felt like I was getting my happy ending. Last night Zayn said he was going to talk with Demi. He said he was going to tell her everything that's happened. I agreed to let him do what he needed to. Were going to meet today at the revision classes and face whatever backlash comes our way. At least that was the plan.
"What's got you smiling?" Cher asked as I dropped down beside her.
"Nothing. It's a beautiful day, And I just woke up feeling chirpy" I replied with a smile, Cher laughed.
"Bullshit! It was pissing down this morning and it's gonna piss down again later. I know that look, You've met someone!" Cher stated, I shrugged with the smile still plastered on my face. "Oh come on tell me who he is! Do I know him?" Cher asked.
"Don't know what your talking about" I replied, Cher smirked. The classroom door was then opened, I looked up and felt my smile instantly drop. Zayn and Demi walked into the classroom hand in hand, Demi had one of the biggest smiles on her face. That dosen't look like a relationship that's ended.
"Hey guys" Demi said as she walked over to us, I looked up at Zayn with a questioning gaze, He just lowered his head, He didn't tell her a thing.
"Hey Demi" Cher replied before giving Demi a quick hug, She completely ignored Zayn.
"Niall, Thankyou for what you did" Demi said.
"Huh?" I questioned.
"Talking to Zayn about everything. He told me you gave him a reality check" Demi informed me.
"Oh, Yeah no problem" I mumbled. "I erm just realized I forgot my notes, I'll see you guys later" I stated before standing up and quickly exiting the classroom. I walked all the way outside the school building, Ignoring the calls of my name.
"Niall wait! Niall please just let me explain"
"Explain? Explain what Zayn?! Explain why you didn't tell her!" I yelled.
"Niall please just listen. I tried ok, I tried but I just, I couldn't do it, It wasn't the right time" Zayn exclaimed.
"It's not that it isin't the right time Zayn, It's you bottled it. It's never gonna be the right time. I can't believe I let you do this to me again!"
"Do what?" Zayn asked.
"Give me hope. Lift me up just to drop me straight on my ass again!" I spat, Zayn tried taking hold of my hand but I shoved him away.
"I will tell her, I swear I will. I just, I don't wanna hurt her Ni" Zayn said, I scoffed.
"But you can hurt me right?" I chocked out, Zayn shook his head.
"No" He whispered.
"Seems that way to me. You can't have one without the other. Somebodys gonna get hurt Zayn, And if you think for one second I'm gonna be your dirty little secret until you grow a pair you got another think coming" I stated.
"You aren't a secret. Niall I swear I meant every word I said, I just couldn't do it last night. She was putting herself down and I just couldn't hurt her, Niall I swear when we kissed and done it, I was thinking of you the whole time wishing it was you" Zayn exclaimed, I felt like someone had just tugged my heart from my chest.
"You, You had sex with her?" Zayn looked down. After he told me he wanted me, He told me his heart was saying he wanted me, After all that he went and had sex with her! "While I was sitting around thinking you'd finally chosen me, You were fucking her!" It made me feel sick to even say the words.
"Niall I-"
"Don't. Just don't alright. Either you want her or you want me Zayn. If you wanna be with me you admit what you are. If you wanna be with Demi you fucking say it! Is it her your fucking around with Zayn? Or is it me?" I asked.
"I wanna be with you Niall, I just, I don't want anyone to know not yet" Zayn said, I shook my head.
"I'm not ashamed of what I am Zayn. I didn't go through hell just to hide all over again. If this is just a little bit of fun to you, Then you can find someone else to fuck around with" I spat.
"No. Niall what you and I have, I've never felt it before, It's special Niall" Zayn exclaimed.
"Until you tell Demi and everyone else that's it me you want, There is no us" I ignored Zayn's desperate pleas as I turned and walked away. I can't believe I let him do this to me again.
