From one glance you can think you know someone. Seeing them with giant smiles on their faces as they joke around with friends, or the people who would seem to rather be alone than hang out with people. You never really know them; you just see the show that they put on for others. You never notice the slight dark emptiness that's taken over in their eyes, the same eyes that were once full of life. You never notice the anxious looks they have when they're around a large group of people. You can't hear the fights they have going on inside their heads. All you see is the smile they fake as they laugh at some random joke their friend tells. You can't tell that the smile is forced when they are asked how they're doing as they lie and say.

"I'm fine."

They are great at acting and even greater at lying. They too begin to believe their own lies. Before they remember the dark cloud that rests above their brains, intruding their thoughts. They just want to be free from the storm of negative thoughts. Truth is they are physically and mentally tired. Fighting a battle that feels like its never-ending. This is how Adrian Miller feels every day.
