walking slowly towards the bench, melissa saw him. he was wearing a cute black shirt and a black cap on, barely covering his cute hair. surprisingly, she didn't feel the need to die on the spot. melissa took a deep breath and kept walking to the bench he was sitting on and quietly said hi.
"oh hey mel!" tom said quick to giving her a hug.
melissa smiled brightly, too overwhelmed to process the moment. it did seem a little weird for the boy to hug her straight away, and not to forget,, the nickname.. again.
"hey, how are you!" melissa said, pulling away patting him, still managing to control her breathing and heart rate.
"im good thanks, how bout you?" he asked, scratching his head a little. little did she know, he was just as nervous as she was. the beautiful girl he had been texting for a few weeks was right there in front of him.
"yeah im good thanks" the girl let out a happy sigh, "do you wanna get started?"
"yes of course" tom said, walking along the path with his hand over the girls shoulder. the young man was oblivious to the girl's heart practically beating out of her chest.
____________________ time skip (they take a bunch of cool photos and mingle, talk about life storys, and yeah get closer)
"this was so fun, thanks for this amazing day" tom slowly stopped walking and turned to melissa, it was now 10pm and they had been hanging out with each other the whole day.
"dude, this was incredible, honestly one of the best day's ive ever had, thanks to you." melissa had a warm smile on her face as she looked up at the boy in front of her.
"could we, like, become friends?" tom nervously whispered.
"wait, really?" melissa said loudly, clutching her camera in excitement.
"well, yeah, i mean you seem like a really cool person to hang out with." tom looked down at his feet, smiling.
"hell yeah!" melissa jumped and quickly squeezed the boy into a tight hug.
the both erupt into fits of giggles and the shortly continued walking.
