At least you didn't ruin my other surprise...
Other surprise...
Other...
"Taron?" I called as I made my way downstairs.
All too soon after wishing me a happy birthday he had gotten showered, changed and left out of the front door.
All that remained was a note.
'Are you ready for your second surprise?
Get changed into something you would wear to our favourite restaurant... but before you head there... can you collect something from out local park... you'll know just where to look.
Love, T x'

I headed over to the little rope swing attached to a tire... which was inevitably attached to a tall, old oak tree which resounded at the very corner of our local park... a hidden corner.
A little gem Taron and I had stumbled upon when we first cam here two summers ago for our first picnic, living in this area.
We had only moved in a few weeks prior.
Our first home together...
I looked around the floor and I looked up into the tree before walking over towards the tire.
And sure enough lying inside the tyre lay a single flower.
My favourite flower.... (Calla Lilies are my favourite flowers... what's yours?)
I smiled adoringly at the flower as I picked it up and cherished it in my grasp.
I stood there for a while before someone called my name from behind me.
It was the elderly man who walked his dog in this park every day and Taron and I had gotten to know his quiet well... especially when his son passed.
"Aren't you expected somewhere?" he smirked, before turning and following his dog on his exploration of the park.
I did have somewhere to be.
I had a reservation at our favourite restaurant... my stomach flipped with nerves as that thought rattled through my brain.

"There she is. Looking gorgeous as ever... but then again you look beautiful in anything... or nothing at all." Taron whispered the last part in my ear as he hugged me, standing beside our reserved table.
"Thank you for the beautiful flower." I smiled, kissing his cheek as he helped me sit down.
"I was going to wait until we had ordered our main course... after our starters... well shared starter... but I couldn't hold it inside me any longer." Taron said, nervousness filling his handsome features.
"Taron? Are you okay? Did you get another film contract?! That's amaz-" I started.
"It's not about me... not tonight... It's about us..." he said, and with that he knelt on one knee beside my chair.
"______. Ever since you came into my life three years ago I have felt complete. You are my rock. My soul. My love. I feel empty when I am gone. My heart stays behind while I'm away... with it's true keeper. I've been working up the courage to ask you for the past six months... I've had this on me almost everyday since I bought it all those months ago.." he said producing a small box.
I gasped.
"I asked your father permission after I bought the ring... I just can't imagine my life without you... so what do you say? Will you marry me?" he asked, popping open the box to reveal the most beautiful and elegant ring I have ever laid my eyes upon.
I didn't even remove my gaze from his, even though I could feel the whole restaurant looking at us.
"Yes." I smiled, in a whisper.
That was all it took before he jumped up and pulled me into his embrace, pulling me up and out of my chair as he spun me around in the air.
It wasn't until he set me down that he remembered about the ring.
"I love you Taron." I smiled as he slid the ring onto my finger.
A perfect fit.
"I love you ______." he smiled broadly, kissing my lips in front of the clapping audience we had gathered.
Forever and Always.
