People often say that I'm forgetful.
I am not forgetful,
But too busy remembering the important things.
I don't remember
To do my chores,
What my homework is,
How many times I've told a story,
Or that the joke I keep trying to tell isn't actually that funny.
I do remember
How sweet the sound of your laughter is,
How you bite your lip when you're nervous,
Which song makes you smile the most,
And what color your eyes are.
I do remember
How much you can talk when you get excited about something,
How many freckles cover your face,
How you always double knot you shoe laces,
And how big your smile is.
