"I don't want to live a lie....."
"Then don't." Jennie and I were laying on her bed together.
"What can we do, were can we go?"
"I have a few hundred dollars in my safe..... but it's locked up at the theater."  She looked me dead in the eyes,
"Then let's go."
"Are you sure? Are you going to tell your parents?"
"I....I.... yes I am." I got off her bed and grabbed her backpack,
"Here, pack light. I'll be back soon."

We met at the top of the stairs,
"Are you sure?"
"Lisa, I'm with you, I have you. I'm absolutely fine." I extend my hand and she grabbed it, letting out a heavy sigh,
"Jennie is that you?" Her mother said as we came down the stairs,
"Yes mother, is dad with you?"
"Yes, What is it?" We entered the living room together, hand in hand,
"Mom.... Dad.... I have something to say."
"Jennie dear, what is it? You're scaring me."
Jennie closed her eyes and took a deep breath,
"I'm a lesbian and.... I think I'm in love."
Her mother said nothing,
"Mom?" Jennie asked weakly, Jennie's mom slapped her and was going to again until I stepped in front of her. Jennie's mom hit me instead,
"Jennie go!"  I said worried of what her dad might do,
"Never come back! You're a disgrace!" Her dad finally spoke as her mom continually slapped me. I ran from the living room, my face turning red from the slaps. I ran out the front door and looked at Jennie shaking in fear.

"Lisa" Jennie's face had a single red hand mark,
"Jennie." I ran to her and hugged her tight.
"I'm sorry...." I faced her,
"Don't be, you did nothing wrong."  I took her hand and kissed it gently, a weak smile spread across her face,
"I'm here Jennie"
-
"Never thought I'd be here again." I said as we were in front of the theater,
"Stay here while I get the money, I don't want you getting hurt." Jennie nodded, I hadn't seen her this upset since the last time we were here.

I entered the theater, my nostrils filled with it's awful stench. I quickly went to my old room, the janitors office. Thank god, it's still here. I grabbed my lyrics and wallet from the safe. I put it in my backpack and creeped out the theater. Jennie smiled at me as I exited.
"I was worried." I smiled back at her,
"No need to be, I got everything I need."
"And what's that?"
"My lyrics, money, and most importantly you." She blushed and we started walking.

Heavy breathing
"Lisa? Can we take a break?"
"Of course, we are almost there." We were in my park, it's near my old house. I lead Jennie to the large cherry tree and leaned against it. Jennie laid on my chest and I pulled out a pen and paper and began writing, just like the old times. I hummed my lyrics and felt Jennie melt into me.
Baby
Follow me
Never once did I dream
You would be
Next to me
Baby
Never leave

I kissed Jennie's head and wrapped my arms around her petite frame. Although we just met, I felt like we've been together since the beginning of time.
"I love you too Kim Jennie." I whispered to myself and dozed off.
