Chapter 16: The winner is Who?

It was my time again, Me vs Tenya, we were in the arena. The match was about to start, I can see the conflict in Tenya's eyes. Like he's trying to come up with a way to win, I looked at the spectators seats and at momo. She was watching, I smirked which caused her to look away and my other classmates to either snicker or giggle.

Midnight: Match Begin!

Ilda wasted to time

Ilda: Recipro... Burst!

In a blink of an eye, he was behind me and began pushing me

Alex: He's trying to knock me out of bounds!

I quickly summoned both my guantlets and Boots, I dug my feet deep, slowing me down. I was almost at the edge, I opened my wings and held on to ilda's arms

Alex: Hold on tight, were going for a ride!

I flew up, ilda managed to escape my grasp before we got to high and landed with a loud thud. I flew down, almost touching the floor, the audience cheering loudly in witnessing our match

Ilda: I must say Alex, my plan was to quickly knock you out of bounds before you summoned any of your demons. Now this is going to be much harder than before

I landed and made my wings disappear

Alex: I know, I nearly panicked. But now what are you gonna do? You waisted your recipro burst, your engines have stalled out.

I said, noticing the black smoke coming out of his engines

Ilda: Like Mr Aizawa said, you cant be a pro hero is you only know one trick!

He started running strait at me, even without his engines he's still pretty fast. He launched a kick but I blocked it with my armored hands, he kept kicking while I looked for the right moment. He kicked again but I saw that he was getting tired, I caught his foot and threw him out of the arena, landing on the grass

Midnight: Ilda is out of bounds, Alex moves on to the next round!

The crowd cheers while I help ilda back on his feet

Alex: You were amazing ilda, your quirk nearly won if I hadn't flew to block it

I saw he looked sad but still forced a smile

Ilda: Thank you Alex, it was an honor to fight with you

And with that he left, I stood there confused

Alex: Did I do something wrong?

I went back to the spectator seats and sat down

Tsu : Nice win Alex, you were incredible

Alex: Thank you Tsu

Momo got up and went to sit next to me, I put my arms around her waist and she leaned on my shoulder

Jiro: You look more relaxed now

Jiro pointed out, the others agreed

Kaminari: Yeah, earlier you were mad as hell and now your totally cool

Jiro: Because of a certain someone ~

She smirked and momo looked away, the next March. It was Tokoyami vs Ashido, it was a one sided Match if you ask me. Ashido tried to throw her acid at dark shadow but he dodged them and like momo, pushed her out of bounds.

The next match was Bakugo Vs Kirishima, it was a close fight. Kirishima's quirk along with his advanced knowledge of hand to hand combat kept bakugo on his toes. Bakugo's quirk did harm him but his hardening quirk made him more tougher and durable. But in the end, kirishima's overuse of his quirk made him tired and as a result his quirk stopped and lost immediately.
