Hey friends, this idea came to my mind yesterday when I saw Ashi's pic in saree, the one in the cover of this story. So decided to write an OS, but it turned out too long so made it a TS. Anyways, have a look!

"Dekh Naina, jijaji gussa ho usse pehle maan ja!" Preeti whispered in her sister's ears, warning her. "Tu mujhe dara mat. Main ye kar ke rahungi" Naina spoke with determination.

"Red Rose aa kar khane ke bajay kya khusur-pusur kar rahi ho tum dono?" Swati raised her eyebrows at them. "Kuch nahi" Naina waved it off.

"Naina, tum kha kyu nahi rahi?" Sameer asked, seeing the samosa left untouched on the plate. "Man nahi h, Sameer. Chachiji ne nashte mein bohot zyada khila diya aaj" she lied, avoiding looking into his eyes. "Accha, sirf tumhe hi nashta karwaya, Preeti ko nahi!" he said sarcastically, seeing Preeti enjoying a samosa with Campa Cola. Naina glared at her and she narrowed her eyes, "Kya hai?"

"Idhar aao" Sameer dragged her chair towards him, making a screeching sound. He too shifted closer to her, "Idhar kya dekh rahe ho tum sab! Udhar dekho" he chided when his friends shifted their attention to them, teasing them. They all turned their faces while Naina blushed.

"Kya chhupa rahi ho Naina?" he came straight to the point, making Naina gulp. "Tabiyat to thik hai na tumhari?" he asked, placing his palm on her forehead, checking if she had fever. Naina took his hand in her, "Arey, sab thik hai. Kuch nahi hua" she assured, to which he softened.

"To phir kha kyu nahi rahi?" he asked looking at her palm, caressing it with his thumb. She pursed her lips and took a deep breath, "Mera vrat hai aaj, isliye kuch khana nahi hai"

He immediately looked up at her, "Vrat? Kaunsa vrat? Aur kyu?" "Teej ka vrat" she replied dreading his reaction. He left her hands and straightened himself, "Naina, ye sab karne ki kya zarurat hai? Nahi, koi vrat frat nahi karna" he took the plate of samosa, breaking a small bite to feed her. "Sameer, ye itna mushkil nahi hai. Karne do mujhe" she tried to explain him. "Accha, to phir mujhe bhi karna hai vrat" he declared, making his friends' heads turn towards them.

Naina's eyes widened at this, "Sameer, tumse nahi hoga ye. Tum bhookhe nahi reh paoge" "Exactly, tum bhi bhookhi nahi reh paogi" he said and she shook her head, "Sameer, tumhara bhukkad roop dekha hai maine. Please zid mat karo"

"Zid tum mat karo, Naina. Tum vrat nahi karogi, bas!" he ordered and pushed the plate of samosa to her. "Maine kaha tha na mat kar vrat, jijaji ko nahi accha lagega" Preeti quipped. "Tu chup kar, jija ki saali!" Naina snapped at Preeti, "Sameer, Parvati ji ne ye vrat kiya to unhe Shiv Ji mile the. Sab kehte hai ki ladki agar ye vrat kare to use manchaha var milta h. To mujhe meri tasalli ke liye hi karne do ye vrat." she softly tried to convince him. Hearing Naina, Swati dropped the samosa from her hand and looked apologetically at Munna. He understood, and smiled, "Koi baat nahi, Pandat. Shaadi ke baad rakh liyo vrat."

"Lekin Naina, main hu to sahi tumhara manchaha var, phir kyu karna hai vrat? Nahi, tum.." "Please" her one word crushed all his objections and he had to agree.

"To kab tak chalega manchahe var ke liye tumhara ye anshan?" he mumbled with a sad face. Naina giggled, "Chaand nikalne tak. Uske baad pati apni patniyon ko pani pilate hai, aur kunwari ladkiyan khud hi pi leti h" she slid her fingers on his palm and smiled when he folded his fingers, enveloping hers. Their friends took their plates and moved to the adjacent table, keeping the food out of Naina's sight, trying not to make the fast difficult for her.

"Aise kaise khud pi logi?" he leaned closer to her ear, "Ye Mr Maheshwari ayega na apni Mrs Maheshwari ko pani pilane" he whispered making her cheeks go red from blushing. "Accha, wo kaise?" she asked leaning on the table, resting her head on her fist. "Tum bas chaand nikalte hi tumhare ghar pe paas wale garden mein aa jana. Baki sab main kar lunga." he spoke confidently.

At night, the moon was taking its own sweet time in coming up in the sky. Chachaji and Chachiji were in Taiji's house, waiting for the moon to come up and then having dinner there, as decided by Tauji. Naina took this as an opportunity and dressed up a saree, wore golden jhumkas and bangles, a small bindi on her forehead and left her hair open. She was impatiently pacing around in her room, peeking out of the window every minute, and got dissapointed on not seeing the moon in the sky. Preeti came in the room with a laddoo in her hand and eyed her weirdly for a minute or two and then huffed, "Ab baith bhi ja, tere ghumte rehne se chaand jaldi nahi nikal ayega. Itni hi bhookhi hai to vrat karti hi nahi"

"Tu na chup reh. Ek to waise hI bhookh lag rahi hai upar se teri bakwas" Naina irritatedly sat on the bed. Preeti shrugged and concentrated on the delicious laddoo in her hand, which she'd very smartly stolen from Taiji's house. Naina frowned looking at her, "Mere saamne laddoo kha rahi hai! Kuch to sharam kar. Paap.."

"Chaand nikal gya, Naina!" Preeti screamed in delight and Naina immediately ran to the window. Finally the moon was glowing in the sky. She gave a quick final look at herself in the mirror, and tiptoed outside their house. As everyone was busy in their houses, breaking the fast followed by the dinner, Naina quickly entered the park.

She looked around, searching for Sameer and finally found him sat on a bench.
