"W... what?" Winter asked softly.
"I love Qibli. I'm sorry, Winter. I truly am." Moon replied.
Qibli saw the wounded emotion in Winter's eyes and ducked down.
The moment has finally come.
The moment where Winter hates us for all eternity and will never speak to us again.
Qibli hated the way Winter had treated Moon, but... Winter was his clawmate. And not just that, but his friend. He truly cared about Winter, and he was guilty to see his friend so heartbroken.
"I'm so sorry, Winter," Qibli whispered, closing his eyes. Winter nodded. "It - it was your choice, Moon. I will - I, I guess I'll find some other love."
"There's always Lynx," Moon suggested. "You love her, don't you?"
"Yes, but..." Winter saw his vision blur and blinked his tears away. "But it isn't the same."
"We... we could all still be friends, right?" Moon suggested.
"Yes," Winter nodded, "I guess we could."
