The Casting (Chapter 14)

Betty's POV 

We waited for about 1 hr 20 minutes until jughead needed to be fitted for a cast. In that 1hr 20 minutes i held jug in my arms in hopes that it would sooth the pain.It seemed to help because he fell asleep in my arms while were waiting but he only napped for an 1 hr before he was woken up for a cast fitting . The doctor said this was the most painful part and that i probably should step out but i refused. I sat with him in between both my legs as i rubbed his shoulders and back. First she said that she had to put all the bones in line . So she straightened his leg out witch made jughead scream in pain. i rubbed his back shoulders and wiped the tears off his face . She left The room to go get casting material and she would be back in about 10 minutes.I could tell jug was exhausted and in a lot of pain so i layed him back into my arm's and i had his head back on to my shoulder as i combed his hair because i know that it calms him down .The doctor came back in  and jughead was laying back in my arms and was half asleep but the way he was placed was really comfortable to him so he stayed that way until the end.they placed the cast on and he did start to cry at some parts so i wiped the tears away and rubbed his arm as i was still combing through his hair.  They did ask him what color he wanted his cast to be and he replied with Black . His cast was up to a little bit below his knee but to me he looked hotter than ever. The doctor said she was done and gave us a pair of crutches but told him to not use them for a week so to just be on bed rest . He stayed in the position he was in for about 10 minutes calming down and trying to choke down the pain. " I'm ready to leave" he said quietly."It's ok jug i'll sit here as long as you need " he nodded his head a tiny bit and he sat there for another 10 minutes. until he fell asleep in my arms . I let him sleep for and extra 30 minutes but then i had to get him up so i could put him in bed at home. "Hey Juggie do you want to go to bed at home." he nodded his head as he slowly sits up and i get out from behind him . I grabbed the wheelchair and helped him get into it . I signed him out and pushed him out to the car . He almost fell asleep in the car ride home but he wasn't comfortable. I Got him into bed and changed him into sweatpants and a comfortable t-shirt and i elevated his foot with a pillow ."Do you need water of food jug"..."No i just want to go to sleep , please come sleep with me" he said quietly but i still heard. I crawled up into the bed right next to him while hugging him . I kissed him on the cheek as he drifted off to sleep. He slept pretty well but he woke up in pain turning in the middle of the night .I couldn't do much but all i did was kiss him on the forehead and say "'i love you "trying to reassure him that everything would be fine. he would fall asleep quickly after that.
