lets fade these lights a little
let our touch say all it needs
as the cars prowl by our window
crimson reflections shine on every deed
its not about our hearts tonight
feeling is locked outside this room
key kicked aside and forgotten
touch my body and kiss the moon
for the city has gone crazy around me
and crazy always pulls me in
sweet as sugar
rolled up notes
we dream as angels
tasting sin
i am too empty
to be so giving
we drank the same glass dry sometime
our beautiful work in melting ice
some old stain on cheap carpet
snake eyes and rolling dice
hold me once until the wheel spins
and the city lights all retreat from this space
red glow of truth in cracked mirror
we dream as angels
gone to waste
i am so empty
holes in well worn lace
i am so faded
and tired of this place
im leaving like the city lights
gone
without a trace
