Chris was walking towards the walls that could be seen in the distance. He was still tormented by guilt and remorse after killing that creature. After all, he was still a 16-year-old boy who had not even finished high school, and who had no real life experience. His closest approach to what he had done were the novels he used to read, or video games. He had never seen anything die other than insects, or mice that his cat hunted. That's why, now that he had experienced what it felt like to kill, he could not get rid of those negative feelings.
Therefore, he began to run in the hope of clarifying his thoughts. He ran, and ran until he reached his limit. At that moment, he realized something. His physical ability had improved, he could run longer and faster. Puzzled, he asked the system: "Why has my physical condition improved?"

[The change in your physical abilities are a consequence of being in continuous contact with the miasma.]
"Oh, well I guess that explains it" He thought "With my current physical capacity, I guess it will take me about half a day more to get to that wall."
After distracting himself from his emotions and learning about the improvement in her physical state, Chris headed back towards the walls, sometimes running, sometimes walking, dodging the trees and jumping over the protruding roots. Little by little, the ground was stabilizing, and the trees to be more separated. While walking, he saw some strange animals, like a rabbit with a horn on his forehead, and a kind of boar that walked on two legs, whose arms were extremely muscular, and carried a kind of axe. Fearing for his life, Cris tried to avoid drawing its attention as best he could, and escaped as soon as he had the chance.

After he had been walking for a few hours, Chris found a path, and decided to follow it. By the time he reached the edge of the forest, the sun was beginning to hide.

}"It's already getting dark ... I don't think it's good to be in this forest with monsters during the night ... But I don't know what dangers there are in the plains, and I still have three hours to get to the city." He thought. "Well, whatever it is, the plains will be safer, since I'll be able to see whatever comes next." In this way, he decided to follow the path and try to reach the walls that same day. After walking for about an hour and a half, he began to feel hungry. He had not eaten anything since he came to this world. While thinking about this, Cris remembered  the packet of cookies he had in his pocket. Sighing in relief, Cris took out the package and began to eat the cookies, until half the package was finished. Although he was still hungry, he did not know when he would have the opportunity to eat again, so he decided to keep them just in case.

After satisfying his hunger a bit, he kept walking for about half an hour. By this time, the sun had already completely disappeared, leaving a crimson moon as its sole source of light. Luckily, there were not too many clouds, so he could still make out the road.

After sitting for a while, he saw a group of about 5 figures that looked like people, who were walking along the road. Rejoicing at the fact of having met people, Cris immediately stopped and ran to meet him. As he approached, he realized there was something strange. They were piling on something on the ground. "Maybe one of their one of them got hurt?" He thought, surprised. As he got closer, he saw blood on the ground. Just then, one turned his head and looked at him. Its face was pale, its eyes were bulging, with an empty expression, and its mouth was stained with saliva and blood. When it saw him, it growled:
-AAAARGH! -

He was frozen. When they heard his companion, the other 4 turned and looked at him, with their empty eyes, and their mouths full of blood. They started walking toward Chris, which discovered the thing they had been eating. It looked like a human body, disfigured, and and torn to pieces. That woke him up. They were zombies. Two of them had swords, in relatively good condition. There was another with a shield, one with a club, and finally, the one who had seen it first was unarmed. They had no armor, only simple clothes that looked like leather. metal shoulder pads and knee pads, and boots. One of the zombies, the one with a sword and dirty blond hair, attacked him with a blow from above. Cris instinctively raised his [Rudimentary Club] with both hands to defend himself. With a 'Toc' The sword got stuck in the club. The zombie tried to free her, but it was useless. Chris, taking advantage of the situation, pulled the club with all his might causing the zombie to fall forward and release his sword. Criz grabbed the short sword, and pulled it out of the club. As soon as he did this, he used [Curse] on the sword.}

[You have cursed "Short Sword" It's damage is increased by 10.]

"Well, it worked": He thought, and used the sword to cut off the head of the fallen zombie. The head separated easily, and no blood leapt. As soon as he cut off the zombie's head, a notification appeared:

[You have killed a new species! You have acquired the Regeneration (Low) skill of Night Walker Martin]

"What? Did I acquire a new skill? "Distracted by the notification, Chris did not notice that the zombie with the shield had approached, and this hit him in the chest with the shield.

-Guh! - He blurted , and staggered before falling backwards. His chest burned, but he expected more pain after being hit by a shield. The zombie threw himself on Chris the moment he saw him fall, but Chris rolled to the side and got up. The zombie disarmed and the one of the mace approached to him by the left and the right,  so he decided to attack the disarmed one with a horizontal cut. The sword easily penetrated the zombie's body, but it caught up with the sternum of the zombie. While trying to draw the sword, Chris realized it was stuck. He saw the zombie of the mace approaching, so he grabbed the hilt of the sword with his two hands, and swung it towards the zombie of the mace. The sword, turned into a hammer thanks to the weight caught in its blade, hit the zombie in the mace, and knocked it down. Chris used the moment to attack the shield zambie and crush its head. This time he did not receive a notification, but he could not worry about that. He grabbed the shield, and used [Curse]. The Shield flashed briefly with the purple light, and Chris received the notification:

[You have cursed "Iron shield" It's defense and durability increase by 10.]

At that moment, the last zombie standing, the one with the sword, attacked him with a vertical cut. Cris put his shield over his head, diagonally, and the zombie attack slid over it. Taking advantage of that moment, with his free hand, Cris punched the zombie's face, and felt the bones breaking. The zombie was thrown a meter backwards by the force of the impact.
-Fuu ... Ah ... Fuu ... - Cris was out of breath, after the fight, his stress slowly falling off. He approached the sword the zombie had released, and once again cursed it.
After doing that, he approached the zombie and cut off his head. Then he did the same with the two who were struggling to get up. Having done this, he grabbed the shield, which had a strap to hang on his shoulder, and the two swords. And he went on his way.

Every so often, monsters could be seen in the red light of the moon, but they were far enough away to not notice him, and the walls were getting closer and closer. He could already see a large door, and lights could be seen, which should be of people watching.
After a while, Cris finally reached the door. Relieved, he shouted:
-Hello, is anyone there!?-
After shouting this, a man with a crossbow leaned over the wall, and pointing at him, said:
-Who are you and why are you here? -
