Chapter XIII

Ines and Mary were already sitting at their desks when Nathan came in and sat down next to Mary. This has been going on for over a week, almost two. Nathan and Zach haven't spoken to each other in forever it seemed and Ines and Mary wanted to do something about it. They have been talking and made a plan.

Zach came into the room minutes later, bearly making it. 

"Hi, what do we have now?"

"Zach, we have maths first period literally every day."

"Oh right, sorry. Am, did we have any homework?"

Zach seemed generally distressed and lost. And both Mary and Ines saw that. 

"No, we didn't have homework."

Zach nodded and opened his notes. He only had one page left so Ines gave him one of the papers even tho he didn't ask for it and he gave her a small smile.

Fifteen minutes into the lecture Zach sighed really loudly and put his hands on his head.

"What's wrong, are you feeling sick?"

Ines looked generally concerned and looked towards Mary for help. She just shrugged her head not knowing what to do either.

"Do you want water, should I take you out or the class or to the school nurse?"

Zach was now coughing really loudly and he was holding his stomach. Ines had enough of that and raised a hand. She knew that the math teacher would let her do anything and by anything she means anything.

"Yes, Ines what can I do for you?"
Raise my grade she whispered and Zach and Mary chuckled.

"Zach is not feeling well, can I take him to the nurse's office?"
He gave her a look of go ahead and waved his hand to dismiss her.

"Lean on me and try to look as sick as possible."
The last part was only heard by Zach as he put all of his weight on Ines. They slowly walked out of class and got to the first bench and sat down.

"What is bothering you? I can see that you are in distress. Tell me, believe me you can trust me."
He stayed silent and just sat there with an empty look in his eyes.

"Is it, Nath?"
As soon as he heard that name he looked up.

"I can tell that something happened between you two. Did you guys fight?"
He only shook his head.

"Then what happened if you didn't fight? I won't tell anyone ok. There I will tell you a secret so that you have something to bail on.

"I'm bi. How that?"
He looked at me with this weird look in his eyes and then just started crying.
Ones didn't know what to do so she just hugged him and patted his back.

"It's fine...
Sussh it's going to be fine...
Let it out."
He sobbed for the last time and finally spoke up.

"He,... Well, we grew very close and... and one night we were outside and the atmosphere was just different and I asked him to kiss me and he did and now I don't know what to do. I think he hates me now. He's not even gay. Well, neither am I... I just..."
I rubbed circled on his back trying to calm him down.

"I went through a phase like that, I didn't know who I like or who I even was. I just want you to know that it's ok to be whoever you want to be as long as you're happy."
He nodded his head but ai didn't stop.

"But now we have to figure your problem out. Did you like the kiss?"
He whispered a very small yes.

"Do you like Nathan?"
He nods.

"Did he kiss you back? And didn't break the kiss first or whatever?"
He nodded again.

"Dude, he likes you back, I think it's not too late to talk to him. If he likes you he will forgive you. Trust me."

"Okay."

"And don't worry about your sexuality you can figure that out later. You need to talk to Nahan first ok?"

"Yes, ma'am."
I gave him a small smile.

"I'm going to go back to class and tell Nathan to go to your room. Go there and wait for him ok? This needs to be done now."

"Thank you, Ines. Like this really means a lot to me."

"No problem, now go you idiot."
I could bearly contain my smiling as I entered the classroom. I whispered in Nathan's ear that Zach wants to talk to him in their room.

Nathan's eyes lit up and he really looked like a happy puppy.

The bell rang and Nathan stormed out of the classroom and Ines just gave Mary a knowing look.

"I did it."
