I looked over to my girlfriend sitting next to me. Her cheek was swollen and she had blood on the left side of her jersey. I sighed as I held her hand. She sure gave me a scare. I had no idea what had happened until Tanba pointed it out Heidi walking back to the dug out, pressing a towel against her face.

Heidi looked at me with her beautiful green eyes. "Is something wrong?" She questioned.. I smiled and kissed her cheek that wasn't swollen. She blushed and laughed. "What was that for?" I looked into her green eyes and winked. "Just cause. By the way, you look like a cute chipmunk."

"Oh shut up!" She shouted, looking away a bit embarrassed. I laughed and carefully grabbed her chin having her face me. "Does it hurt?" I caringly ask as I lightly touched her swollen cheek. She winced and moved away. "Yeah, but not that much.." Her voice trailed off.

She looked down, her facial expression a bit sad. I rubbed my thumb on her hand and smiled at her although she couldn't see it.

"I'm glad you didn't get seriously hurt."

The rain continued on the next day. Practice was canceled due to the rain flooding the field, but it didn't stop us from practicing.

"Miyuki! Catch my pitch! Chri-senpai won't catch mine today!" Sawamura yelled out. We were all in the indoor practice building practicing on swinging and catching. "Hey Sawamura. Why would I want to catch your 'fastballs'" I quoted the word fastball and teased him.

I saw Heidi walk in the building on her phone. I smiled and walked up to her. She was wearing black running shorts and a Seido track jacket that was zipped up. Her clothing were a bit wet from the rain.

"Hei-chan, your really wet." I said hugging her from behind nuzzling my face onto her neck. "I like it." I said joking. Her scent smells so good.

"Kazuya! Don't make it sound perverted." She scolded. I looked up and she was still on her phone. "What are you doing?" I asked. She turned around and smiled. "My brother will be playing in Japan during our summer tournament. He's in the USA baseball team and he said he might be able to come to one of our games during one of the tournaments, maybe sooner."

"Really? Thats good." Her warm smile made me forget how cold and gloomy this day is. I looked at her cheek and it was still a bit swollen but not as swollen as it was yesterday. She had taken off the bandage and the baseball stitches that cut were marked on her face. Her cheek was bruised but it wasn't in the way of her beautiful face.

She coughed a couple of times before putting her phone away. That dummy, wearing shorts in this weather.

Hey Ms.Dalton! Please help me with my pitching!" Sawamura yelled running up to her. Heidi sighed and held her head. "Don't yell so loudly next to me and don't call me Ms.Dalton either."

"Yes Ms. Dalton!" He yelled standing up straight. "What did I just say." Heidi scolded. She gave Sawamura a cold glare that made him freeze. I burst out laughing.

I started catching Sawamura's pitches as Heidi was trying to help Sawamura. "Your foot isn't facing the right way." She bent over trying to help Sawamura place his foot towards me and not to the side. Her helping Sawamura actually made his pitches a bit better.

We spent 30 minutes in the building until Furuya came up asking for help too. Heidi sighed knowing  how hard it is to teach these guys.

Heidi sat down exhausted. I bent over patting her back. "Those guys are so much work." She complained. I kissed her head and laughed. "Those first years sure are." I sat down next to her and looked at her face. Her face was a tad bit red besides the purple greenish bruise on her cheek. She started coughing and looked flushed.
