Chapter 56

-Jungkook's POV-

As I rushed to the hospital I suddenly remembered that I forgot to lock my house door.

I sighed.

When I arrived inside I quickly asked the nurse at the counter where my Tae was.

She told me that he was on the fifth floor so that's where I went immediately.

When the lift's door opened I could see Tae's mom standing there.

I walked towards her.

"Hey Ms.Kim"

She turned around and smiled at me.

"Hey Kookie"

"How long has he been in there?"

"5 hours almost 6"

My eyes widen.

"When will he be out?" I asked.

"I think soon. Because the surgery would take about 6 to 7 hours"

I nodded.

"What are the percentage?" I quietly asked.

"About 50 and 50"

I sighed.

She came to take a seat next to me.

"Tae is strong Kook. Don't worry. I know he would be alright."

I smiled weakly.

"I hope so"

Then I took out the ring and showed it to her.

Her eyes widen.

"W-were you planning on asking him?"

I nodded slowly.

She smiled.

"I knew you would be good for him. I'm gonna tell you a story alright? And don't tell Taehyung I told you"

I smiled and nodded.

She smiled sadly. "Before you came into his life. He was a mess. You know he's mute right? So because of that he used to get bullied a lot. People liked making fun of him. I told him to homeschool but he didn't want to. He kept on fighting on going to school. Although he was being bullied. He still kept a smile on. And then you came. You basically fixed him. You were that one person that pushed him. I'm happy that you came into his life."

As I was about to reply the doctor opened the surgery room.

We both quickly stood up.

"How is he?" Ms.Kim quickly asked.

The doctor smiled. "The surgery went well. Now we just gotta wait for him to wake up. He's in room 125"

We both nodded and the doctor walked away.

She turned to me.

"Told you he'd make it"
