Chapter 24

I woke up to officers around me.I then seen even more officers and and an ambulance around someone. "Are you okay?" The lady asks. She then tells me to followv her finger. "Alright no concussion. Does your head hurt?" I nod. I then get up and notice my necklace was broken. I picked it up and put it in my pocket. In the corner of my eye I see Samantha shouting. My heart then dropped. The officers. I ran to see who they were crowding. I looked and there was my best friend almost lifeless. This is my fault. If I only seen it coming. Tears were then falling from my eyes. "Ross!" I shout and try to get to but officers hold me back. I was crying hysterically knowing this was my fault. They put him on the gourney and right away I noticed his head was busted. I dropped to my knees. "Ma'am your going to have to get up!!" An officer yelled at me. I was then grabbed and pulled to the side. "Pull it together Laura!!" Ayen said to me. "I can't if my best friend is about to die!!" I shout. "Remain calm and snap out of it!! He is not going to die!!" Nina shouts. The ambulance then starts to drive off. "What hospital is it heading to?" I ask a nearby officer. He says "L.A Care Center."  I look at Ayen and Nina and they nod. We hop in my car and head off.

We have been waiting for an hour now and I was pacing. I never got to see if Samantha was okay. She was crying. She must really like Ross. I smile for split second then return to my pacing. "Laur please calm down!" Nina tells me. "At least take seat." Ayen instructs. I sit but shake my leg. A nurse then comes out the room. "Finally!!" I practically shout. She looks at me confused. "She is just expecting the condition update on her friend." Nina tells her and she smiles. "Ross Lynch?" She asks. I walk up to her. "Yess. What news do you have? Is he okay? Is he in critical conditon?" I bombarded her with questions. Ayen pulls me away from her. "Calm down!" She shouts. I breathe out a sigh. "Mr. Lynch is stable but is suffering from a concussion and other head injuries. He has a few broken bones and is in a semi coma." She tells me. I was near tears once again. "Room?" I ask her. "Sorry he's not allowed any visitors until further information is gathered." I nod in understandment. Nina and Ayen come and hug me. "It'll be okay!" They say. I then realized I haven't told his family. I was about to call when Stormie bursted through the door in tears. "Where's my baby?" She asks. I pulls away from Nina and Ayen and walk over to her. I wipe some tears. "He's suffering from a concussion and other head injuries but is stable. He has a few broken bones and in a semi coma. Were not allowed to visit until further notification." I explain through my tears. Rydel then comes and conforts both of us while crying also. The guys then run in. "Is he okay?" They all ask. "We don't know for sure but we should in a few hours." Nina tells them. They look at them like "who are you". "I'm Nina and this is Ayen. Were friends of Laura." Nina introduces. "Oh!" They say in unsion. They then join our hug. "Everything will be fine." Riker reassures us. I shake my head.

After a few hours of more waiting, I had nothing but worry on my mind. My gut is feeling sick. "Mr.Lynch may now receive visits. He is not awake though." A nurse calls out. "Do you guys wanna go first or should I?"  I ask. "You should," Delly says and looks down. I nod and walk in the room. He is laying there and no sign of life. He's ribs are bandaged. He has a cast on his foot and left arm. His head is also bandaged. Tears roll down my cheek. I touch his pale cheek. "This is all my fault!" I whisper as my voice breaks. I then feel something on my hand.
