What makes a place feel like home?

Is it warmth and familiarity? Some idealized, make-believe TV version of the American Dream? Is it love and acceptance?

Or is it simple safety?

Or it's none of those things. And it's a place where the captain of the football team was murdered.

LOUIS' POV:

I blink a few times, opening my eyes, trying to adjust them to the bright light that is peeking through the curtains. I notice I'm still in Harry's bed, under a red blanket. But he's nowhere to be seen. We woke up already this morning once, talked a bit and fell asleep just as quickly.

I yawn quietly, putting a hand over my mouth before sitting up. The blanket moves so it's pooling around my waist as I stretch my arms above my head, walking out of the warm bed only in Harry's black sweater and nothing underneath.

I fall back on the bed the second I stand up because of the sudden pain in my abdomen that is shooting upwards into my spine.

"Ouch," I whimper out loud.

I try to stand up again, and this time it's better, but it still hurts a lot with every move I make. Before leaving the room I check my phone, texting my parents that I'll be home in a few hours, seeing the time is 11 AM.

I open the door, peeking outside on the dark and cold hallway. "Harry?" I yell quietly.

With no response, I slowly - and carefully not to hurt myself even more - walk down the stairs, opening the white door into a room I know kitchen is. "Hazza?" I ask again, walking inside.

HARRY'S POV:

I turn around as I hear the small and cute voice calling my name. I grin at the sight of Louis, my dimples showing. He's wearing only my sweater, and he's rubbing his eyes with sweater paws while yawning. He looks like a little kitten and I want to wrap him in my arms and cuddle him for forever.

"Morning, baby." I smile at him, winking and throwing a piece of carrot into my mouth.

Louis blushes and just stands there. I walk to him, pulling him to my chest by his hips. He wraps his arms around my neck, softly playing with my little hairs there. "How'd you sleep?"

"Good," he mumbles, looking up at me with shy eyes.

I smirk, lifting Louis up by his thick thighs. He shrieks but wraps his legs around my waist as I put him on the kitchen counter.

"How do you feel?" I ask, tilting my head to one side. I travel up and down Louis' naked and shaved thighs with my warm hands, our faces only inches away. I quickly reach to turn off the stove. I really don't want to burn this house down.

Louis looks up and our eyes lock as he wraps his hands around my shoulders. "Mmm, okay. My bum hurts a little bit though." he says, wiggling his ass on the counter. I can feel his breath ghosting over my lips and his looks so kissable.
