Bad News & Bad News

Today was December 23rd, meaning that tomorrow happens to be Christmas Eve. We decided we'd all have a big dinner and then open the presents the next morning. All the presents I bought were under the tree seeing as all our friends are coming over on Christmas Day, except Michael and Jamie since they were spending it together with Michael's family.

I was a little sad that I wasn't spending Christmas with my parents but it was fine, it's only one Christmas. The sad part is that I'm not spending it with anyone I care about. I mean I do care about Lana because she is one of the sweetest people I've ever met alongside Elsa. Meanwhile, I never see Jack, so I wouldn't say I really care about him. I highly doubt he cares about me. As for Sam, well what if he turns out to be an annoying little brat, so I can't exactly judge him or say I care about him right now. And Ashton... Oh Ashton. I sigh shaking my head at my thoughts. I honestly don't give a flying fuck about him. I really don't...Right?

Well, whether I cared about him or not, I still have to go through with my plan and repress any feelings I might get which, thankfully, I haven't gotten. Especially if I have to make him somehow fall in love with me, then leave him. I mean, I'm not dumb. Staying around a person for so long, at some point, will either make you loathe them incredulously or like them with every fiber in your body. I may be stuck somewhere in the middle but I'm leaning more towards the hate side. It is what it is.

I exit my bedroom with my glasses on and a hoodie, going downstairs to drink some water. I enter the kitchen and see Elsa helping Lana with grocery bags, that I guess, are for tomorrow night. "Hey Sky" Lana smiles at me.

"Hello" I smile back weakly since I just woke up. "You just woke up?" Lana asks me. I nod lazily and she chuckles. "It's almost 1 PM. Where's Ashton?" I frown since I hate waking up this late. But nevertheless, it's better than waking up at 6 AM for school. "I don't know. I think he might still be sleeping."

"Are those groceries for tomorrow?" I question as I sit on one of the stools surrounding the island.

"Yup." Lana smiles at me. "If you want I could help with the cooking tomorrow." I offered.

"Sure honey. The more the merrier." She grinned at me. "Well, I'm going to go wake Ashton because I have nothing better to do." I beam as I hop off the stool. "Make sure to annoy him into consciousness, please." Elsa adds.

We all laugh as I make my way to the idiot's room. Once I get there, I knock lightly just in case he was awake. I get no reply so I open the door slowly. It makes a light squeaking noise so I wince hoping it wouldn't wake him up, this could ruin my intentions. He lay still like a log on his stomach, so I proceed to tip toe to his side. I take my eye glasses off and set them on his nightstand then count to three in my head, jumping belly flop style on his bed, probably breaking his back in the process.

I hear him groan and curse as I start laughing my ass off till I literally fall off the bed.

"Why would you do that?" he asks annoyed but his voice really husky. Damn, that morning voice though. My eyes widen and I mentally face palm myself. Stupid hormones.

"What? Is there something on my face?" He pondered and I shook my head. "Why would you think that?" I inquired.

"Cause your eyes widened." He answers while rubbing his own eyes. "Oh, yeah ignore that." I felt a blush crawling onto my cheeks but it vanished as soon as it came, as Lana's distant voice floods through the room, calling both our names downstairs.
