Jewelanna's POV

"Yes, Marcus we leave tomorrow at seven a.m.," I said over the phone packing all the last minute things I needed.

It was currently five o'clock in the afternoon and I had to pick Abby up from Keke's house in an hour. Marcus was calling me asking me what the plan was for this week and honestly just getting on my first and last nerves.

"Okay Jewelanna, I was just making sure you did have everything under control."

"Okay, and I get that but I got this Marcus. Now I have to go, Derrick is outside waiting on me and it takes 45 minutes to get to your baby mamas house from here." I said walking down the stairs to the front door.

"Haha, you got jokes. But imma let you go call me in the morning when you get there. I love you and take care of my baby." He said. I said I loved you back then hung up.

I got in the car and buckled up and we made our way to Keke's house. Derrick and Keke met already and she was fond of him. I was still a little freaked out and shocked by how easy it was for me to get Abby but I'm not going to question it. While I was there Keke and Marcus were all smiling and laughing looking happy. When she drops Abby off she usually just leaves but this time they spent time together as a family. I haven't seen my brother smile so much in a very long time so it was nice to see him do so. If I didn't know any better I would say they have something going on.

After about 40 minutes we finally pulled in front of Keke's house. She had a beautiful two story home. It was mainly white and gold. It looked very elegant. Marcus had offered to pay for the house and everything but she denied his offer, she wanted to do it herself. I don't blame her, I would have done the same thing.

We got out and made our way to the front door, Derrick ringed the doorbell

We got out and made our way to the front door, Derrick ringed the doorbell. After about five minutes Keke came to answer.

"Hey guys, come in. Abby is upstairs getting her stuff together." She said pulling us into a hug. Okay now, something is really up with her. Again I'm not going to ask questions, just going to let her do her thing.

"I'm going to go upstairs and help," Keke said walking up the stairs of her beautiful home.

"This is so weird," I whispered to Derrick.

"Yeah, but its okay because we are getting her," Derrick said kissing me on the forehead.

It was actually Derricks's idea to go out of town. This will be our first time going out of town together so I wasn't all the way comfortable, so he suggested we take Abby. I did wanna take her to Miami so it worked out. This wasn't supposed to be a romantic getaway, more like a much-needed vacation for the both of us.

"Okay she's ready," Keke said walking downstairs holding a sleepy Abby and her bags.

I went to grab Abby while Derrick grabbed her bags. We walked out to the car, Derrick put the bags in the truck while I buckled a now sleep Abby in her car seat I kept with me. We waved goodbye to Keke and headed to get some food before we went back to my house.
