What happened that day

She's dead.

The sound of sirens were blurred in the background, all I could see was my mothers motionless body on the floor, her last words where swirling around my head I'm sorry baby, they where after me. 

I'm now sitting in my front room with my dog by my side and two police officers sitting opposite me, The police man spoke, as his eyes held sorrow and sympathy.

"honey, I know what happened was life changing and horrible scene for you to watch but can you tell me what happened in full description please?" I nodded and answered with a weak voice. 

"she shouted me down stairs, I walked down to see her holding a knife at first I didn't think anything of it because she was making dinner, and then she said 'I'm sorry baby, they were after me' then she stabbed herself in the stomach, I quickly ran down the rest of the stairs, grabbed the phone and called the ambulance as I got a tea towel and tried to put pressure on the wound-" he cut me of and spoke, 

"okay honey that's enough, is there anyone you would like to call?" I hesitated debating who I should call 

"my grandma and grandpa" he nodded and passed me his phone.

"nanna?"

"yes honey"

"moms died"  the phone went silent, I could hear ragged breathing, then a quiet sob,

"i'll be at yours in a moment honey, I just need to get changed" 

"okay nanna" I ended the call and the officer spoke, 

"are they coming sweetie?" I nodded.

Grandma and Grandpa walked in and hugged me straight away, Grandma turned to the police,

"what happened to my daughter?" the second officer spoke,

"Your daughter committed suicide, it seems that someone was after her, so she ended her life before they could get to her, we have a few questions we need to ask you all" we nodded and Grandma and Grandpa sat down,

"do you know anyone that would want to kill your daughter? was she in any sort of gang? had a situation of drugs? or anything that could help us figure out why she committed suicide?" we all shook our heads and Grandma spoke,

"No she didn't show a lot apart from her love for her daughter, i mean nothing matter to her more then her daughter" the officer turned to me,

"what about you?"

"she went out at random times sometimes, but I just thought it was work, she always gave me what I wanted, I mean I didn't ask for much but when I did she wouldn't hesitate to give it to me, she loved me and my dog more then anything she would do anything for us" he nodded, and spoke to me,

"we have her will, and we would like you to know she had a lot of money saved for you and she also brought you a house in America, she wrote you a letter but that is evidence and could give us answers so we will send it to an address, where you will choose to stay, the house she bought has everything paid for so you can live in it your whole life without paying rent or bills, it should also be in perfect conditions" my eyes widened, 

"I have to move to America on my own?"

"no you can go if you want but, officer Gage here is also moving to America, as he got transferred and this was his last job, if you choose to go he will keep weekly cheeks on you until your settled then it will be monthly cheeks until your eighteen, to make sure you ain't getting in to trouble with anything he will also help if your low on money which will be unlikely as your mother left you a lot of money" I nodded

"Can I take my dog?" he smiled then nodded, they both stood to leave and the first officer, officer Gage gave me his office number and they gave me the address to my new house.
