Holy moley macaroni with bacon and baloney!
I just had the best week of my life.
So around the end of January (it's now July) I found out that I had been nominated by my headteacher to attend a leadership program. It would take place in a few universities in the United States and I got to pick which one I wanted to attend. Of course I picked Harvard because it's like the best university in the world and I would probably make the most out of my program there. My family was super supportive so I signed up and at the end of my school year I left Kenya and went the USA.
I was so excited and stuff to be going but pretty nervous at the same time. Little did I know that I would have the time of my life. It may seem like an exaggeration but I actually really enjoyed it. Can you imagine, I was staying in Harvard for a week with like 300-500 people I've never met in my life. It felt so good to not know anyone and just meet new people. My confidence has shot up by miles, I lost weight ('cause of all the walking😂) and I made friends for life. What more could you want?
Brooo I would 100% recommend attending this summit because it has literally changed my life. I swear I actually learned more life lessons in that week than I ever had in my life, plus it helped me develop leadership qualities I thought I already had. I even feel like crying right now because that's how much I miss those guys. It was so hard saying goodbye to everyone since I may never see them again but don't worry we're planning a reunion after we've graduated high school. We're gonna tour Europe😂
This is a very brief summery of the events that lead up to and took place within the summit. If guys want me to explain everything in more detail, just say so. I didn't wanna do that because I don't think everyone would be interested...🤷♀️
The organisation running the program is called Ambassador Leaders. This is their website: https://ambassadorleaders.com
If you want to know more about it or have any questions feel free to comment them or dm me :)
