A/N: before you read, in my first chapter I mentioned Nathaniel saying he could draw Chloe as a My Little Pony character if he wanted. Well, someone did, so shoutout to HazeTheShippingTrash for this amazing art piece:
Marc had spent the weekend perfecting his story. He wanted the writing to be publish-worthy, but he also had to make sure it didn't look too over done, like he didn't try. But he had to try so he won't be made fun of. It had to be perfect, but not too perfect. And it couldn't be completed.
Marc furrowed his brows as he stared at his writing. That goal was impossible to reach.
But it was too late now. His black nails gently scraped the black leather book as Marinette took it in her hands. She quickly set it on the desk, grabbing out an eraser to remove his name from the front, before picking it up again and heading to the door.
Marc couldn't settle his nerves. Nathaniel isn't gonna like it. He'll hate it. He'll purposely follow Marinette when she returns the book to Marc so he can expose him. Then he'll have to move schools and-
No. Nathaniel is not like that. He wouldn't expose or embarrass him, but that wouldn't stop the butterflies buzzing in Marc's gut.
Marinette halts as she reaches for the door handle. She spins around, welcoming smile on her lips as she looks Marc in the eye. She steps forward, placing a gentle hand on the boys shoulder. Her smile switches into something more comforting. Marc relaxes under he soft grip.
"He'll love it." She said calmly and supporting. Marc couldn't help but agree.
That is until she left the room, he was back to self doubt and nervousness.
